"Hey, Pirate Captain!" Black Bellamy called as his sleek ship pulled alongside the cobbled together conglomeration of wood that barely passed for a boat.The luxuriantly bearded pirate swaggered up to the railing to greet his contemporary. "Why hello, there Bellamy! Come to offer congradulations?" He asked as he buffed his nails, clearly enjoying this rare chance to gloat.
"Yes, actually. Congrads and all that on finding that treasure." He gave a small nod to the island behind them. "Never thought you had it in you. Too bad you won't have it for much longer."
The Captain frowned. "What do you mean?"
The first mate, too, didn't like the sound of the other pirate's words. He was up to something. "You can't attack us." He said cautiously, knowing very well that that's what Bellamy would like to do. "It's against the Pirate's Code of Honor. You would be disqualified from Pirate of the Year."
The black goateed pirate chuckled. "You know, you are right. You are totally right. You know your laws matey. However..." His moustache curled into an evil grin as he beckoned his crew to bring something forward. "...I think I found something you have been looking for."
The Pirate Captain and his crew gasped in shock as their youngest crewmate appeared on the deck of the opposing ship.
"Now, there's nothing in the rules about a friendly trade...is there, Captain?"

Just a random scene that came to my head......Seemed like something Bellamy would do.

Sorry I didn't see this one sooner. This is so cool. The look on Bellamy's face and his hand gesture is just perfect. Those big pink eyes on Albino are so funny and cute...I don't know if he looks more scared or bewildered, and I'd love to know how he got into this jam. This story could go onbe of several ways, all of which oughta be pretty funny. Great pencil sketch.

Bellamy's quite proud of himself here. And Ablino's not quite sure what's going on.
Little backstory: The Pirate Captain and his crew were searching for treasure on an island and lo-and-behold they manage to actually find it this time! They're so excited bringing their prize back to the ship that they don't notice that Albino has wandered off. The little guy runs smack dab into Bellamy and his crew who are searching for the same treasure. Realizing that he's too late he offers to take Albino home, not out of the kindness of his heart, of course. But because he has just found the perfect barganing chip.

Yeah. He's got it rough today. Being held for ransom on Bellamy's ship isn't exactly a pleasure cruise.
Bellamy knows exactly how to push the Pirate Captain's buttons. And one way he knows he can get to him is through his crew.

No. He wouldn't. And Bellamy knows it. Which is exactly why he's gone about it this way. Easiest way to get the Captain to do something is to threaten his crew. Although, I imagine it's also a way to get him truely mad.

Albino can be seriously insulting. Completely unintentionally, of course, but he just blurts out whatever is in without realizing it might not be the thing to say. The Pirate Captain and his crew are completely used to it. Bellamy, however, wouldn't stand for some upstart cabin boy being cheeky.

very true. but gosh- punching Albino in the eye? that's just like punching a little kid! that's low even for Bellamy!
i seem to think that Bellamy backs out of physical fights with anyone stronger or equal to him. I got the idea from how he cowers back and just lets the pirate king take back the Pirate Of The Year award. But instead he resorts to being crafty about it and fools his opponent, or blackmail, which is exactly what you've drawn!

I agree on all counts.
If that black eye was indeed from Bellamy (which it could just as easily have happened to him in the jungle while he was lost. But the important thing is the CREW suspects it was Bellamy) it probably wasn't a deliberate punch. Just more of a 'hey shut up' backhand.
I imagine Bellamy uses his crew to do most of his dirty work. But he seems to know his business and I imagine he does his share of swashbuckling. But his area of expertise is sneakiness. He's probably smarter than most pirates and that's what he uses to get his way.

Oooh yes. to pirates, Blackmail is probably the least of everyone's worries. but not little albino, he looks so scared and innocent. and with Belleamy, you can imagine him doing something really horrible; trying to bribe Albino to join his crew, threatening him to join the crew. not following the rules of the trade or trading and then destroying Pirate Captain's ship.
and how did Belleamy wind up with Albino in the first place?

They had been treasure hunting and Albino managed to wander off and get lost and quite litterally runs into Bellamy who then realizes that the Pirate Captain has already found the treasure. He offers to take Albino home. But Albino, being the good boy he is remembers that the Captain always said never to trust Bellamy...even though he seems like such a nice guy. So he refuses with a polite 'no thank you'. When diplomacy doesn't work he has his crew grab him and carry him back to his ship. After all he's not going to let the perfect barganing chip slip through his fingers.

that is......a really brilliant backstory to Albino's capture by Black Belleamy.

On their way back to the ship with the treasure Albino managed to wander off and get himself lost. The others were so excited about their find they didn't notice he is missing until they got back to the ship.
Bellamy was looking for that same treasure when he runs across Albino. And as he knows the Pirate Captain is far to attached to his crew to be a a successful pirate he comes up with the perfect plan.
