AAAAAAHHHH! My first ever 2d animation!!! (excluding one half of a cat walking cycle I did when I was 14) I CAN'T EXPRESS TO YOU HOW EXCITED I AM!!I know it's kind of jerky but I'm still pretty happy with it.
I used 'Pencil 2d'...finally figured out how to add frames between other frames. Of course my first subject had to be Rover. I can draw him pretty quickly. No, he's not wearing his hat. I have a hard enough time drawing it at an angle without making it move.
Not sure exactly what's happening here. Anybody want to venture a guess?

I was kind of afraid of how his hair would turn out since I never draw it exactly the same each time. Just kind of like "CURLS"! And then tack on that big one in front. But, surprisingly it didn't seem to matter all that much since he was moving anyway. *whew*
I can't tell you how much I loved doing this. I have some ideas for a couple really short Hi Ho Hyperdrive videos that I thiink I might be able to complete.

Heheh, yes, those red curls of his are rather challenging to tame, especially when you're animating them! Oyy! X'3 But really, I think you pulled it off just fine

Completely untamable would be more accurate. He has on occasion put gel in his hair and tried to slick it back...but it doesn't do much good.

Daw, I feel like Flyspur just called his name and he's like "Hey, buddy!" This is really cute and really great for a first serious animation! Nice posing the way his shoulders/neck relax at the end. It helps to use a character you're really comfy with too. Nice work!

Some super natural/Indiana Jones stuff is episode 3 part 2 but the first two are just dino hijinks if you wanna check it out. XD It was fun but really tiring. Although it was neat how it forced me to developed a fast workflow and a good knowledge of the programs I was using (GIMP and iMovie). It also helped me develop a versatile and simple style for drawing dinosaurs, haha.
Then I planned a movie called REM where a woman has to go into a dreamworld to save her husband and it was gonna be kind of a faith allegory but I've been so busy with other stuff I don't know what'll happen with that. I'm still kinda into it though.
Oh gosh, Flyspur walking down a wall would be challenging but really fun! I'd love to see that, haha.

This really made my day. It's great to see Rover moving. Weird me thinks being kept still for his pictures must've been driving him crazy.
I see a lot of movement in your work (Most obviously in your comics) and that translates well here. I love how you kept all his shapes consistent, and that smile at the end is the most adorable I've seen him. Well, except for his baby pictures.
I'd love to see to see this story as a show, perferably hand animated. It would kind of remind me of Disney Afternoon shows, meets ... I dunno, Star Trek? A lot of humor, action, exotic locales, and drama. Still, I think I'd rather see your stories then a show that's been meddled with those know-it-all tv making type people. (Phsaw, make a couple dozen award winning shows and they think they know everything. XD)

Oh, Rover HATES to be still. He's always got to be doing something. Even if it's just playing with a rubber band. He's finally got some freedom of movement now.
Rover: *blushes just a little and tips his hat* Thank you kindly. A smile is a trader's best friend, you know. Aside from Little Blue, of course.
I would LOVE to see it as a Disney Afternoon sort of show!! But, yeah. Big companies like to change things. Insert characters, remove characters, change personalities. They'd probably make Rover lose weight. LOL!

Chance meetings aren't that unrealistic. A friend of ours was at a layover in Turkey and met a guy there who he hadn't seen for five years. (Both are American, and our friend rarely travels.)

I LOVE IT!!! To actually see Rover in motion is AMAZING! You can really tell a lot about a character by how they move, and this is no exception. You can easily see his cheerful, energetic, carefree character through every line of it. EXCELLENT!

Was kinda picturing partially what proceeded this. Like he's on the bridge, maybe Flyspur just barely got finished explaining something to him, (his expressionless look at the first frame. I can see the stars through the windshield behind him) when we hear Nana's voice and little foot steps. He forgets all about what Flyspur was just saying, turning to see Nana's smiling little face come to the door to the bridge, holding out a plate of something.
I donno what she has in it though. What's Rover's all time favorite goody?

Rover just loves food in general. But I think his favorite thing is chili...extra spicy. For snacks....probably something beef jerky-like. But I haven't given it much thought. Any ideas?
