Someone's comfort. Someone's grace.
They've found me alone in this place.
Strange that one's haven,
can be another's hell.
Not that this place is hell...
I only mean to while away the hours,
listening, metaphorically, to my own voice.
My strength is my weakness,
my passion is my plague.
But I am sure those words have been uttered before from a thousand lips.
But should it not be the lips that are our downfall?!
Lips that make love in their meaningless significance.
Lips that live,
lips that die,
lips that kiss,
from mouths that sigh.
Why do we dispose of our time reveling in fantasies,
and lolling about in memories?
The time I have found for me,
for this,
is simply an extension of my loathing distrust for those lips!
Those lips! What symbolism they bear!
To lie, to love, to live!
To die, to hate, to curse!
The honorable intention of those lips!
For is it not lips that fade the glowing light of innocence for a moments pleasure?
Is it not the kiss that beings the romance that breaks the heart?
And truth be told...
you know I'm right.
For as your lips move silently along the lines,
are you not imagining those lips?
That last passionate moment in which you lost a piece of yourself to those lips.
See, now the lips of my imagination and gone and got you fantasizing.
