Before the impish-gro could escape, a familiar she-gro grabbed hold of the man's shoulder before swiftly letting go, frowning from ear to ear.

"I've been trying to reach you all week, yet you avoid me every turn!"

"Considering your idea is outlandish, I had other things to do."

Esmeree snarled before composing herself, speaking.

"I am not chasing you again, you either permit me purchase of the land, or I will take this up with the mayor himself. It won't be a good look on you refusing land to a citizen with the money to do so."

Reed sighed. "The "land" you speak is a worn-down, hunk of wood! Even if I sign this, the mansion is in disarray, no way you could remodel it!"

Esmeree glanced at the man before pulling out a pen from the man's shirt-pocket, a forceful click of the pen's top echoed as she shoved the papers in his chest.

"I have worked hard to get this deal, Reed. I will not let some Last Notch, pompous ass tell me I can't have a "piece of junk" I can afford! You may not like me, I don't care, but I'm willing to get my hands dirty for the sake of our town, we need a home for those in need, and I WON'T stop until this document is signed, and that building is in my name."

Before Reed could say anything, Esmeree stared cold into the man's eyes.

It...wasn't anything like he's seen from the peace-lover before, hell no one has seen those eyes before....

"..." Not saying another word, the debt collect swiftly signed the document, checking it twice to be sure everything was signed before handing it back to the woman.

"Thank you. You won't regret this." Essy smiled with glee.

Reed sighed, watching the she-gro walk towards the Mayor's office...

Its not that he didn't want a sanctuary in Wynsiph..

Its the fact a middle-class she-gro with only cottage in her name was putting this together....
