Ronnie's a dog of strong body and mind with a larger than life personalty. He loves to socialize and get the inside scoop on everybody, though he's usually a bit vague when asked about himself. He's not that great with remembering names so he assigns nicknames to everyone he meets based on his impression of them. He loves to joke around a bit and believes a dog shouldn't take himself too seriously. He's an extremely intuitive guy with a talent for handling difficult situations and dogs. He's got a warm smile that he wears most of the time because most of the time he's genuinely happy. However, he's also got a bit of a temper on him. It's not something that others' have to be too concerned about. As long as you're doing what you're supposed to and not deliberately threatening his or those close to him's livelihood, nice Ronnie should be all that you see. His domineering personality isn't so easily restrained, and because of this, Ronnie has the tendency to talk down to a lot of dogs and struggles to incorporate others' opinion into his plans. Leadership is new to him, so he's a bit hesitant, but he's willing to learn and offer his service to the best of his ability. Overall he's a dog with a good heart trying to make a better life for himself.

Pre-Group History:

In a previous life, Ronnie went by the name Raphael. This was name given to him by his mother whom he lived with in the rundown suburbs of the next town over. He and his five siblings had been born out of a plan to earn some extra cash between two neglectful dog owners. His brothers and sisters were sold their 6th week of being alive, but for some reason or another, his mother's owner decided to keep him. The relationship he had with his mother was complicated to say the least. She was abused by her human. Being poorly nourished and strictly restrained to confinement of a muddy backyard had made her extremely temperamental and unpredictable. Their duration together went back and forth between strained toleration and hostility. For a while Raphael believed he hated his mother but there were rare times where it showed that they did indeed care for each other. Over time he came to understand her better and forgave her for the anger she had directed at him. Deep down he knew she loved him and he felt the same. Despite his realization, Raphael was not satisfied with his place in the world, so at nearly three years, he ran away from home and never looked back.

For two years, Raphael lived the life of a stray. It was this time of his life that really shaped the bulk of his personality and philosophical view points. Knowing what it's like to feel trapped and isolated made him strive to be social among other dogs. He became highly respected among his peers. Many feared his strength and cunning. Few dogs ever tried to cross him. Raphael cherished his freedom but eventually the inconsistent lifestyle began to wear down on him. While on the streets he witnessed what the true relationship between a dog and human should look like and decided he wanted it.

Unlike most dogs, Raphael chose his owner. Over a month of searching he zeroed in on a young pharmaceutical student. It took a total of three days of following the young man around until he eventually took him in and named him Ronnie. He dropped his old life with his old name and the two quickly became close friends. Laying beside his human wearing his shiny new collar on the couch inside their living room, Ronnie felt life couldn't get much sweeter. After Graduation, they moved to Canidale so the man could get a job at the local drugstore. If Ronnie thought his old place was great, He thought this place was heaven on earth! The town seemed completely dog oriented and the no leash policy was especially suitable to the one time stray's lifestyle. It offered the perfect amount of freedom and comfort. Finally, here with his human, he was completely content. He'd found a forever home.

However, in just a week after moving in, Ronnie's new found stability was nearly put to shambles. An armed robber looking for drugs attacked the small pharmacy Ronnie's human worked at. Premonition of his friend's safety drove Ronnie to go search for him. When he found him at the wrong end of a gun he was overcome with rage. He lunged at the attacker mauling the hand that dared to threaten his human and held him pinned to floor until the police arrived. He was so infuriated and pumped with adrenaline, he didn't even realize he'd been shot by the criminal.

It was quite the miracle that such a wound had not proven fatal and even more so that it's only effect was the scar it left behind. Local newspapers were eager to cover the exciting story. Ronnie the Brave Rottweiler Brings Down Armed-Robber! Soon everyone knew about the new dog in Canidale. Many came to idolize his valor, they believed he was a hero willing to give the ultimate sacrifice to protect the one he held dear. Others admired his power, he was the dog that survived a lethal gunshot to the chest. So when Sybil announced she was leaving for Manhattan and it was time for the Pets to select a new leader, Ronnie's name was fresh in their minds. When Ronnie was at first confronted with the offer he denied it, baffled by how sudden everything had been developing before him. Rather than accept his rejection, the pets gave him some time to think it over. When they confronted him again he decided he'd take the job knowing that the best way to make sure his new home's stability wasn't threatened, was for him to be directly involved in running the place. He's very determined to pick up where Sybil's left off.

-Some of the more superficial Dogs are skeptical of his stray past
-Ronnie refuses to refer to his human as his master or owner. They're partners in his eyes.
-Since getting word of the Junkyard faction, Ronnie's detested them. Calls them the Pack of Garbage and strongly believes they need to be disbanded
-Having been a stray himself he's a bit sympathetic toward the rogue dogs but they have to know their place. The moment they pose a threat, there won't be much mercy
-Ronnie doesn't have much of an opinion on the Farm dogs other than he thinks they try too hard.
