Flirty: Icarus is known to be quite the flirt, with any dog that he finds attractive. He's a compliment giver and shows his interest through body language and eye contact, known for his 'bedroom eyes' look. Usually not a very serious flirt, more of a light hearted one. He's not looking for love specifically but can't help but hope he might find companionship in his new home of Canidale.

Friendly: While Icarus may be quite the flirt, he is generally a very friendly dog and rarely has an issue with anyone, at least on his end. He doesn't see a point in making enemies with anyone who he hasn't had a major conflict with and even then he tends to let things go usually, he's very much a forgive and forget sort of dog. He likes to have a bigger circle of a friends then most, though he considers anyone he's talked to even once a friend. He is hoping for a few close friendships to occur in his new home.

Competitive: Being a retired show dog he loves the thrill of competition. In most things he can find competition he'll throw himself into it head first and blinders on, though he doesn't make everything a competition at the same time, its usually physical activities as he's a very active dog and has the body to show it, which he is very proud of and will show it off with his confidence and flirty behavior.

Confident: He's a very well rounded dog, socialized from a young age with many different breeds of dogs and plenty of people. He was socialized around as many things as his parents could think of, cars, motorcycles, loud things, unusual things like play yard equipment, screaming children to frail elderly and those confined to wheelchairs and crutches. This has given him the means to be very happy and content in his own skin, hardly afraid of anything due to desensitization. While he is confident it doesn't mean he doesn't have insecure days as well, but he's generally an easy-going happy dog.

Romantic: While he's very flirty in nature, once he's got his sights set on a dog he's known to put in every extra mile into woo-ing and romancing the other dog right off their paws. And he'll continue his romancing well into the relationship if it blossoms, being a very good boyfriend to any boo he has.

Blunt: He's known to be very straight to the point and blunt. To the point of being seen as somewhat rude, though he's rarely attempting to hurt someone with his words. He's also known to say things others wouldn't to avoid offending anyone. He'd never go across the line into discrimination but he will call it as he sees it and often swears while speaking, not because he's angry but because he was raised around it.

Temper: He is usually very happy going, not one for conflicts but he has his triggers and can be set off into quite the angry rage. Usually in defense of friends and family more so than himself. While set off he throws nasty words out and generally looks quite ferocious while doing so. He hasn't been in many fights, being a retired show dog but isn't afraid of them, more he was never in the position to brawl for more than a few moments before he was dragged off the other dog.

Over Protective: Icarus is very close to his friends and owner, and can be quite over protective of them, this tends to work with his temper issues in a negative way should conflicts happen. He'd throw himself in front of a loved one blindly if he thought they were about to be hurt.

Pre-Group History: Icarus was bred by a reputable show breeder and was sold to the breeders close friend who was also into the show world as well as the other events a show dog can do. While growing up he lived with a couple other elderly American Staffordshire Terriers, unfortunately though the pair he grew up with passed of natural causes around the time he turned two years old, Athena and Apollo, his owner/handler's first pair of Am Staffs. He misses them fondly, and wishes they could have lived long enough to come with to Canidale with him and his owners. They were 13 and 15 respectively. Recently he had a move from his home near Chicago to Canidale and while he was apprehensive at first he's gotten a bit more excited about it and has begun to settle into his new home. He's looking forward to making new friends and doing new things, maybe. He's heard his owners talk of maybe getting him certified as a therapy dog so he can go a visit kids and other people who could benefit from it.
