"C'mon, Reiji. Is that really all you've got?"Time:
Drawn and Inked, two hours
Colored with Copic Sketch markers, four hours
Total: Six hours.
My OC Avatar: The Last Airbender Miaogu. Miaogu is a Firebender. Just because all four elements are visible in this picture doesn't mean she's the avatar. lol. I just thought it'd be cute to have all the elements present and accounted for on one picture.
The print on the yellow skirt is my sad attempt at 1) putting a pattern on clothing and 2) drawing Red Spider Lilies. Pretty flowers, but hard to draw. They're just so damn pretty that I wanted to incorporate them! And for the record, I'm not too keen on that yellow I chose for the skirt, but it's slowly growing on me. @_@
I'm really happy with how the pose turned out. It was fun to draw, and it's action-y. I mean, after all my plain loser sorts of poses this is really refreshing. I also like the new outfit I put on Miaogu. I love the idea of having the bolero and the decorative shin guards.
Not to mention that I LOVED drawing the toes. teehee.If I'm lucky this picture will be good enough to be in the group Marker Mania. I've been trying so hard to improve enough to have one of my pieces on their gallery! I really hope this one makes it! *hope hope hope* If it doesn't I think I might cry.

Yes, you're the first. I actually bought a small print of this piece so I could send it to my grandma because I just couldn't part with the original. XD

Dunno if you've seen those Fire Nation outfits, but they, like, never wear anything aside from red black. That's part of the reason why I pushed the orange and yellow on her. XD
Just for that, I should do one of these for Meiji. He's an earthbender from the Earth Kingdom, so, of course, he wears green.

We could do an art trade. This took me so long that I'd want to charge you money. lol. It helps that I actually put a fracking background. My gawd. I actually want to try doing one for Meiji too, since she's sparring with him in this.
Woot! Every time I look at the feet, they look better and better. I think the fuzzy shot along with the extra pencil lines still on it might've made it look weird. That, or maybe it was just my awesome shading. XD
And I don't mind. Here are the colors I used: YR07 (Cadmium Orange), YR04 (Chrome Orange), Y15 (Cadmium Yellow), and Y11 (Pale Yellow). I did Y11 first in splotches where I thought it should be, then I outlined the fire with YR07. Then, with YR04 I blended the outline and brought it closer to the center. I repeated the same step with Y15. I added extra flame bits using YR07 and YR04 by splotching randomly with YR04 and then adding half-overlapping and half surrounding splotches with YR07.
