To get potential trouble out of the way... Any resemblance between these symbols and official game symbols or other works of this nature are accidental; other works were used only for inspiration. I apologize if they resemble copyrighted works previously made.

Anywho, rant/story now! ^^
On Gaia (yeah another gaia story >.< ), I somehow got roped into a contest, the goal of which was to design 8 symbols for the elements listed by the guy running it. Something like this:
2 Squares: Earth and Flora
2 Triangles: Fire and Light
2 Circles: Wind and Lightning
2 Hexagons: Water and Ice

And here's how it ran. With practically nothing to go off of but the above, I painted the Colored Shape set entirely in CS2. Turns out that wasn't what he was looking for (and he unknowingly insulted me by implying that they were "pictures cropped to a certain shape"! T-T ). The Tribal Set was just the lines for the Runic.
But the Runic didn't work, either. He didn't like that they were the Tribal pasted onto the Colored Shapes. Said he wanted 3D, hence Stonework. Too complex = Stonework Simplified.
Ultimately, he said he wanted a 3D set colored in a few representative colors for those elements. This gave birth to Chiseled. The other half of the last modification was a one-color 2D, thus the aptly and simply named 2D set.

... Quite honestly, this entire hellish mess could have been avoided if he had just been SPECIFIC enough to know EXACTLY what he wanted from the get-go! That and the only other contestant dropped.

Yeah... See why I don't do modifications? I get ANGRY over a lotta nothin'.
