This only took me about 4.5 hours. >w> I'm getting faster and hopefully bolder with my experimentation.This character belongs to ~Hawk-v3 , who has my permission to repost and do whatever he wants with it, since I drew it of his charrie.
This lovely birdie gal is Phoenix, a helluva hot-tempered lady with the ability to control and conjure fire. See Hawk's page for more info on her.
I was trying for iridescence in her feathers. There are definitely better, more detailed ways to do it, but for the time being, this is the only way I knew how to do it. So whether I succeeded or not, I'll let you folks decide.
But personally, I think she looks pretty damn beast! She finally let me have a pose that shows off what appears to be her best business side... That is, if you catch her off guard while she's sunbathing.

Unfortunatly, it seems the girls he like never like him back. And the girls he doesn't like are all over him like a blanket. Poor guy.

I mean it. I loves it. ^v^
Additionally, you've done me three massive favours:
1: Her colouring! Holy crap you've done it well, and I like it enough to use it myself. ^v^ Best thing is, she looks unique with that colour scheme, so I will be using it meself.
2: Her body. Damn I hate proportion, so I'll be reffing this as well...
3: Iridescence. I personally think you've done really well with it, though I will be altering it slightly and toning the blue down a tad...
There are some small things I might nitpick, but that's small fry compared to how much I like the picture. ^v^

You have no idea how much I fussed and fought with the reds and red-oranges. lol And learning proportions sucks. Always has, always will.
Heh heh x3 I fussed and fought with the blue, as well. Sometimes it looked too bright, others too dull, and sometimes the layer's Blending mode just outright fucked me over. Dx But in the end, I put some green into it, because I almost forgot that there is some green in blue iridescence.

I draw gesture lines and use the rods and circles method to lay down the basic idea of the pose that I want. That's me, personally. Guys and gals are built different; shaped different. A girl is an hourglass, a guy is a trapezoid.
I've committed anatomical structure differences to memory since I started drawing anthro. x3
