Jae can come off at first as brash, tomboyish, rude, self-centered, and nothing good at all. She honestly doesn’t try when she doesn’t care about something, knowing it’s a waste of energy because she doesn’t give a damn. She has a sense of ‘respect’, if you can call it that, where she won’t loot or steal from anyone unless they come to her for business—to which she hasn’t done in a while thanks to her new income (and job..). She’s lazy and tends to either eat a lot or nothing at all. If she’s in a grumpy mood, usually feed her and she’s back to her regular self (mood usually caused by starving herself from forgetting to eat).

Though she has all of these negative things about her, she is also extremely loyal to those she makes bonds with. She’s trustworthy to those who befriend her and due to what happened with her mother, it is not likely at all that she will ever betray someone who has entered her ‘family’. When you’ve made that friendship with her, she considers you family and will let people do what they want in her house—or with her things. Whatever. She’d even do next to anything to the request of one of these people. In her relationships(such as the above), she will not think of herself first, but the other.

However, due to being burned and abandoned when she was a child (by her mother), she’s not the most trusting person if you aren’t her ‘family’. In fact, she can be downright unpleasant sometimes… Not that she means it.. she just speaks her mind, regardless of whether it will or won’t hurt someone. Sometimes she feels like she can’t think before she speaks, to be honest…

Likes:

Cars, money, family, the ocean, sea food (especially salmon), rough housing, anything physical, fresh air, the outside, and swings.

Dislikes:

Being in poverty trailers, people that dip out on responsibility, big corporations, liars and cheats (only when it’s done to her), being hit on, being crammed inside, having to work at stuff she hates, having to ‘pretend’ things, useless or hopeless or helpless people.

Backstory:

Jae-Hwa, known as simply Jae in her neighborhood in Japan, grew up in the poverty of a trailer park. From birth she had nothing but hand-me-downs from her older brother. Her father, an immigrant from Korea worked at the docks. Her mother was Japanese hostess. They’d fallen in love and married, her mom thinking she would move up only to have to move into a trailer. After only a few years, shortly after Jae-Hwa was born, her mother left without a word. She couldn’t stand living where they were and just picked up and went back home, to her old job and made her way back out of the garbage bin that they were stuck in.

For years she never understood how her father could work as much as he did and remain in the same living position. It felt like they were losing money from him working and they came to realize that the company that he was working for was stealing wages, was cutting his pay, was cheating them out to make more money for themselves and give their workers less. They’d been doing it for years….

Her father quit his job and in their neighborhood started up his own family auto-shop. As she grew up, her father and her brother taught her how to fix cars and gave her all the information that she could ever want to know about them. Her family was always surprised with how much she came home with after fixing a car—she never told them her secret…While she was fixing up a car, no matter what problem, if given the chance, she would loot the car and take whatever she could that wouldn’t be noticed as ‘gone’ for some time. She’d even swap stereos out with broken ones if she could and sell them off later. They knew her by name at the jail from being caught looting, and yet she’d always get out of it and she’d always get business.

However one night when the charges were just too much, when the bills had risen and their family was lacking in business, she couldn’t pay her way out of prison. She hated it. She in the cell angrily, thinking about those many years ago and how some big ass company did the same thing to them but was still out there cheatin’ people. No one got in trouble. To be honest, the way they treated her father was the reason why she started cheating at life too. Obviously it worked. Obviously you got moved up and obviously you made it to the next levels without having to work hard. She learned through her father’s old work the way that the world worked. She learned that you have to look out for yourself because no one else does. Everyone is always out to help themselves. It’s only the ignorant that work hard for something they’ll never get.

Her mom knew that. Her mom left because her dad was an idiot who thought that fairness would get them out of the trailer park and it didn’t. It never did. She’d slept with a crowbar beside her bed since she was 4 while her dad worked from early in the morning to late at night every day. Where was the fairness in that? As she hit the a wll out of anger and frustration, an odd little creature she thought to be a dream showed up. A hallucination (considering it was 3am after a long day) and said some shit about a wish. She laughed, ignoring anything else the creature said and replied immediately. “I want money. I want so much money that I can afford to lie and cheat and get away with it. Ya hear me? Never ending pile of money!” She laughed in the things face only to find herself with just what she wanted and released from prison bought herself a flat outside of the trailer park, of course she woulda got something for her dad and brother too—if they would have accepted it, but they wouldn’t. So instead she slips them money when she goes to visit, however, she couldn’t give a damn about mom.

However, since she has what she wants, she doesn’t get this part of the bargain she’s supposed to keep up. She goes witch hunting when she’s told, but for her, ‘witch hunting’ usually consists of standing around waiting in the general area until someone else has killed the witch. She doesn’t give a damn about the seed(unless she has low energy). She does just enough to not be at risk of turning into a witch herself—even fears losing the money and the power she acquired. She isn’t completely lazy as… when someone she cares about is in danger, and it MUST be for the risk or request of someone she cares for, she will jump into help… or if she’s the only one around to help… and then she will, ending with a comment that they better learn to take care of themselves because she won’t be there next time... unless she loses too... then she pouts like a baby.

--When she picks her clothes, she likes to wear things that won’t get in the way.

--She also has no shame or sense of decency.

--Tends towards having a fowl mouth, even when she’s being ‘careful’, she forgets.

--She has 3 gold ring piercings on each ear.
