Now I'm free to express my true feelings, feelings of sorrow and sadness and pain
I really shed tears in that episode. I'm not kidding, the emotion was overwhelming, and the actors so....agh! ...so damn talented!

I liked Godric A LOT better in True Blood than I did in the book.... especially this scene!! It was so sad!! I felt so bad for Eric!!

Saddest scene ever.
I bawled/sobbed/cried so bad.
But I love this portrait of him, it stands out and it's just beautiful.

Well, at least when Rene died there was a reason or something that he was destined to die for!(like making bill and sookie's love stronger, getting the killings to stop and such
But Godric!! He just went out and died. Because he was sick of his life. Oh, really?? Yeah really! No way
Russell must have earned himself a VIP place in Hell waiting for him patiently since like, 2 thousand years ago

I'd totally understand that Godric was sick of life, considering that he's been alive since before Christ, but the vampires needed someone good like him. D:
But then we get someone evil like Russell who lives in luxury and all that.
His VIP pass is about to expire. He needs to die. xD

Okay, haven't read any further, since you warned against it, but I can say I love the drawing. I totally love the expression, it's got so much emotion in it. And using red all over except for the blue eyes works awesome to emphasize it some more.

Well, surely, you'll go to hell for being so evil, but look at the bright side, maybe heaven has daily trips downtown or something!

I LOVE and hate moments like those in tv and movies, I loved the emotions and what it did to me, but at the same time I hated how Godric had to die!!! UNFAIR HBO, UNFAIR

Oh, yes, I too am often in a situation like this, taking everything much more seriously than I should most of the times, and usually there's my sister telling me "if it's it makes you feel so bad, then don't watch it, you don't need another thing causing you sadness" and she's right, not only for True Blood, but there are other times when I sit down and watch "Requiem for a Dream" or "The Green Mile" etc, and then I'm into emotional pieces
But as you said, I like the emotions they cause me, and some actors are really that good darn it!
PS:I heard Godric has some special appearances in season 3, like a flashback or something. it'll be nice to have him on the screen again!

if you don't feel any emotional ties to the movie, I feel it isn't a good movie. I think movies goals are something like making you feel every emotion that is going on, without actually being in the movie itself.

i think everyone whos seen that episode would have shed tears, i know i did. godric is by far the best vampire ever, none of the others are even worthy to be mentioned in the same sentence as him.

PS: That scene was...My gods, when Godric replied to Eric: "on the roof", I said, hey, but it's almost dawn, Bill said so, right? And then realisation sank in my mind, I turned to my sister and told her: "HE'S GONNA DIE!!HE'S GONNA COMMIT SUICIDE, OMG, OH NOES!!"
It was a hell of a scene, and yeah the blue flames were dreamy
