Some of you may or may not have heard of the tragedy that happened today at Newtown, Connecticut. For those of you who don't know, 26 people were shot and killed at the local elementary school, Sandy Hooks Elementary. 20 of those people were young children ages 5-10 years old. Little boys and girls who will never have another Christmas ever again, whose families are broken by the loss. Those who are alive most likely will suffer permenant mental damage. I just wanted to say that all of our hearts go out to you and everyone in America and around the world are praying for you.Credits:

what makes it wrose that it was children that young i mean why would someone kill children that young who didn't even get a changes to really live and it doesn't help i have to younger brothers who are 10 soon to be 11 and 7 years old

The guy was mentally ill. He stole his brother's gun and killed his parents and his mother's class....I guess he didn't want any witnesses, but still, it's sick.

It chills me to hear about what happened. We all said a prayer at the end of the school day for them. This week just hasn't been the greatest. There was also a shooting in my city earlier in the week. Not sure how wide spread the news was but a masked man was in one of the malls in my city and shot and killed two people then committed suicide. The only reason he didn't claim more victims was because his gun jammed.

Yeah, I heard about that one. And the one last Christmas too where that guy tried to bomb a passenger plane. It's horrible. All those kids hoping to get presents from Santa for Christmas....it just breaks my heart.

I know. One of my friends was especially hit by it. Even to the point of running away (as in away from people who were talking about the incident) so she wouldn't hear more of it. She REALLY loves kids and is very close to a whole bunch of them, especially a family from Burundi so hearing about that shooting really hit her.
It's just such a horrible thing to have things like this happen so close to the holidays.
