Description
This is a piece for my breadth in AP 2D studio art!! I think this is the best piece I have so far, it's hard to but a lot of heart and soul into class pieces some reason, I guess I'm not just used to taking art classes. ;;
We had to do a write up on an artist that was inspiring to us, and I picked the wonderful artist /// And then our breadth assignment was to draw a piece inspired by them - which some reason I didn't think of at all although I guess it was pretty obvious haha. XD I tried to emulate the lovely way she paints clouds, cause I admire it so much And alpacas because alpacas are awesome <<<:

Lots of experiments with brushes and lighting. Learned a lot of new techniques from messing around! Wanted to make it texturally interesting so I payed explicit attention to hard + soft edges. // I used to steer far away from using the airbrush tool because I dislike the effect it makes on it own, but I've realized how helpful and nice it is with painting, if you use minimal amounts of it over hard shading or if you want to blend a new color into something you already painted! The colors came on like a whim with a quick palette of 5 colors but i'm happy how it came out! <<:

I'm still iffy on the alpacas' shadows, urgh got to work on my lighting. x n x I'd love any critiques <33
