How do you take pictures of people without, you know, them turning around and looking at you? Or, do they after you take the picture?
I'm really curious, because with this, a couple other photos you've taken and also that amazing one of the Chinese man in the rain, you capture something that, from experience, can be gone forever in a split second!

Hey Eamon, thanks very much for your interest. I think the big secret is to blend in so that people on the street don't notice you or pay attention to you. With this shot I walked around in the same spot for about an hour, just making shots of buildings, statues and people. After a minute or ten people know there is 'some guy taking pictures' and don't really pay attention to what you do at all.
With the photo of the man walking in the rain. I stood on a street corner under a shelter and pointed the camera at a crossroad and just waited for this man to pass by. I saw him from afar, so I had more than a minute to focus on this shot
Some street photographers get all up in the face of their 'subjects', but that's not really in my personality. To each their own

I think he was a backpacker or something. He was there with his girlfriend (I think) and I've been observing them for a few minutes because well...he had a hot girlfriend. They were arguing pretty loudly and this guy just snapped and started yelling at her at one of the most touristic place in Hong Kong. She walked away and he sat there for a few minutes
