I make the sketch in my sketchbook first, scan it in then make a secondary sketch over that, then I go to town with my inking brushes, which are just the really hard opaque ones pre loaded I use the pen tool a lot more now though!

it takes practice I will say. I've been doing digital lines for years and I'm only now started to get comfotable!

I really like this. While I am a fan of Disney artistry, I really love the lack of Disney in this. It's beautiful.

So amazing It's interesting to compare this depiction of Ariel to the one you did of her as "Greed"^^ Both are beautiful, though

She's amazing!! <3
I really love your art . . . I've been going through and +faving so many things! I initially found you when a friend linked to your Seven Disney Sins ^__^
Funny coincidence . . . the way you've drawn Ariel here REALLY looks like the way I've sometimes drawn self-portraits . . . see a resemblance?
This is almost exactly the right pose, although not the best picture because I'd been ill and traveling.
I usually look a little more like this, although this is straying from the mode of your image.
One more similar pose.
I just thought it was really neat that the way you chose to make Ariel look more "realistic" coincidentally turned out to have a slight resemblance . . . it surprised me, but in a pleasant way -- I don't often run into people or drawings that look related, because I'm a hodgepodge mix of ethnicities and nobody can ever pin me down by looks
Pardon the random diversion, but I thought you might be amused that your drawing has a real-life semi-counterpart!

Thank you! I love seeing real life resemblances! Yes it's kind of similar! And you bear resemblance to my friends who I subconsciously based this off of!

This is beautiful, you've captured Ariel so well! I particulary like the gradient and the movement of her hair, which is subtle but undeniably gorgeous!
(I also love your 7 sins pieces, and will be keeping an eye out for the future ones!)
Happy new year, friend!

Awesome piece. She looks very mature in this one.
The hair is magnificent and the colors are very niiiice.
Love the way the hair fades to a darker shade at the bottom. And the use of nonblack lines.

Hey, this is amazing!! I like very much how realistic it looks. May i would have drawn her a little bit thiner, specially the face. But the general impression is great.
