Its an odd jumble of elements, I can only guess what's going on in thisbook. The composition is a bit lopsided and the clouds seem to divide the image in the middle. I do really like the style of the painting. Overall it's nice.

I should have mentioned it in the description - The odd divide in the middle is for the spine. Its a wraparound cover.

I honestly have no idea. I've been working on it on and off for about a year, but thats more because of a lack of time for painting in general than an indicator of the number of hours I put in. Plus I started over about three times before settling on this design.

That's awesome! Totally, it's really hard to find time to do art- it's hard enough like you said- to settle down with a certain design and stick with it.
It totally paid off in you're piece. Great job!
