Love the parts falling off. Proves that the evil ones have the same problems keeping their equipment in good working order as the good guys/gals. I would also fear getting into a romantic embrace with the owner. Darn tentacles wrapping all around me and . . . aaarrrrghhhhhh

Grandma always said to stay away from cephalopoid megalomaniacs with vintage automobile/sea monster constructs. Or something similar.

Sorry to take so long to respond, I've been over-run with land monsters around here.
My grandma also told me to stay away from cephalopoid megalomaniacs but she must have forgot to tell me (or I didn't hear) to stay away from cars and monsters. Could that be why I have owned over 80 autos/trucks/motorcycles in my life (all personally owned, not business) and have been married twice?

Possibly, though I've observed that some monsters are good at camouflaging themselves as regular folk, at least for a while. By the time the disguise fades, it's too late.

I'm not going to say what's going on here; I've got several ideas.
