UNSC Marines are expected to get the most mileage they can out of their equipment, and the CH226 Combat Battle Armor can provide the wearer with a decent second skin. Chris has used full helmet models before, most notably a full-protection helm with polarizing faceplate that he used while infiltrating Robotnik's crashed cruiser in the middle of an ocean storm in 3234.

Weapons: Assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, handguns, grenades, CanadArms Mark VII Ontario Combat Knife, a special reproduction model of a 1977 Desert Eagle .50 caliber handgun. This weapon was found during his tour on Talahan V when it was pointed in his face. He neutralized the gunman and took it for himself. The handgun has saved his life many times despite it not being practical for military service. [link]

Specifically above, we have the M92 EBR-HB, a battle rifle chambered to fire the 7.62x39mm round from a 15 round magazine in single fire mode. Chris never really used this weapon much, as it only has a single fire mode to it. Generally he likes having multiple selection firing. One is just not enough for a man in his position.

Physical Characteristics: Standing at roughly five feet seven inches, Chris isn't all that distinctive as a man. Military service has toned his body, but he does not believe that he is a muscleman. He merely describes himself as 'fit'. Usually crops hair short with a slight spike (if it's not kept under a hat or helmet). His eyes are distinctive, which are a bright green, not unusual for one of Mediterranean descent. Due to regulation, he usually keeps his face clean-shaven, but has been known to grow a beard every now and again when off on extended leaves, and he wears it well.

Strengths: Natural Leader, Calm under fire, superior marksman, tactical decisiveness, friendly (once past the rocky exterior), rational, Caring for his men, rated to drive most vehicles, women seem attracted to him

Relationships With Canon Characters: Originally started as a visitor on the world of Mobius along with other crewmembers of the ship he was on, but he eventually formed a relationship with the Freedom Fighters due to working with them, in particular, Sally Alicia Acorn. It is clear at this point in time that there is a relationship which is intimate, but closed and secret, due to a double-fold social taboo.

Biography: Chris was born on Earth in New York City, the hub of the Human empire. Growing up, he had a relatively unremarkable childhood that brought his best friend Charles Madison into the mix and his first girlfriend, Michelle Anderson. All throughout his school years, he always wanted to be a lawyer like his father, who was a notable criminal defense attorney. He went to law school for the mandatory two year course and received a diploma. Before he could put it to use, the Talahan Conflict that started in 3229 escalated into fever pitch, prompting the Office of Naval Intelligence to commence emergency drafting in several cities - New York included.

In 3230, while arriving to pick up his parents who were returning from a vacation on Mars, he witnessed their ship crashing into a building, killing all the passengers on board. For the next year, he was in deep depression. In 3232, he was drafted by the Marines, only, he was there to be an junior officer, an experiment that the UNSC threw out late in the conflict. Chris, along with Charles, were brought to Talahan V, the source of the fighting, and participated in two years of rough war where many of Chris' friends and colleagues died. Eventually, he was leading the unit because everyone else was dead. Chuck himself had his legs blown off and a piece of shrapnel stuck in his chest. He died a painful death in Vennettilli's arms. The war concluded with the capture of General Lyle Fukoma, the leader of the insurrectionists on Talahan V. Chris constantly protests that he did *not* capture Fukoma yet multiple accounts from soldiers at the scene suggest that he was the one to force the General to surrender, but this personal matter has yet to be solved formally. Some suggest that it was an ONI tactic that would give the young man the publicity that would make the military look good.

While back on Earth for a short period to visit Michelle, he discovered that she was seeing someone else. He turned and left on the spot. That was the last time they spoke while she was alive. He received the news that two months later she was beaten to death by her drunken husband.

In 3234 while stationed on the UNSC Indomitable, the ship was transported across Existence itself and deposited in an alternate universe with anthropomorphic (human-looking) creatures called Mobians. The Humans, eager to find a way home, urged the leaders of the country they were in to help them find the Emeralds. The Mobians, who had distant genetic ties to the Humans, agreed. Chris was placed with the Freedom Fighters to form OMEGA, an experiment between the two leaders to have Humans and Mobians side by side. It was here that he met and clashed with Sonic the Hedgehog, the egotistical and brave leader of this rag-tag group, and Sally Acorn, the woman who he would later get to know on a close level. Assignments took place all over this alternate version of Earth moving from deserts, to jungles, to a ruined version of New York itself, which may have triggered some anxiety from the young man. Eventually, the Indomitable did go back, but not without taking a few punches from Julian Kintobor, who saw to it that some men did not make it back to Earth. Admiral Gerome Andsworth did gather support from the UNSC Admiralty to launch an assault upon Robotnik. On June 2nd, 3234, the Battle of Carson Valley became the first official fight between Robotnik's forces and the UNSC, with OMEGA, being led by Vennettilli, going into the vessel (along with other ODST insertion teams), and disabling the vessel, resulting in an Alliance victory, but Robotnik escaped.

In 3235, A quest to gather Chaos Emeralds in the Humans' universe took place, as well as a search for Shadow the Hedgeog, who was wanted for stealing a few of the jewels. It was also where he encountered a clone of Sergeant Major Avery Johnson; a backup on a frozen world, unaware of his original's death. It was in the later months of the year that the UNSC made its famous Push on the Citadel in which they attempted to topple Robotnik's hold on Mobius for good. The assault consisted of over ten thousand men from The UNSC and Mobius entering the city via docking pads. Chris fought against a Robot Captain who wounded him, but succumbed to the Marine.

His next battle would be from a foe that also originated from another universe. A force of Terran Marines from a group called the Terran Confederacy had broken through universal barriers and invaded Earth, which allowed a two-week occupation in some areas. OMEGA, along with two other battalions, were instructed to clear the city of New Mombasa while eliminating Zerg xenomorphs brought along through. It was when they traveled to Mobius and when he was struck down that Sally revealed that she had feelings for him. She was trying to save him from the eventual downward spiral he was going through. Knowing this, his attitude changed forever. He now had a semblance of hope, that he would retain his humanity indeed, and for the cause of love.

Vennettilli, along with some members of OMEGA were stationed on board the destroyer Phoenix when it was dragged into another universe courtesy of Robotnik, however, details are sparse on what happened in this universe. The crew returned two years later, but the Phoenix had been destroyed. The survivors arrived on a different vessel presumably constructed in this other universe. Now we draw on current events. In May of 3239, ONI executive members called on the immediate apprehension of Vennettilli, on the supposition that he was smuggling military secrets to Mobius. Chris ran with the aid of Major Abigail Hera of the Mobian Air Force. For over a month he has been on the run from the UNSC, and he has them hot on his tail.

-Longest confirmed kill was 1.17 kilometers.
