I haven't had a good chance to show Sally in some dress blues, though she's been described as being in them several times over the journals. Now that I'm sitting down and cranking out some work, I decided to do it.

If you're wondering where the ears are, they're tucked under the cap. Also, I've been using some subtle rendering and noise in this piece, specifically fibers in the flag and noise on the stones.

If anybody who happened to serve looks at this, yes there are differences and they're intentional. For example, no name tag is worn on a modern uniform. The red trim is a late addition and shows some heritage to the base material since the UNSC is quite consciously, even in universe, based on the US Marines.

Every now and again, I think she wonders to herself just how she ended up in this position. She made a choice, but sometimes Sally thinks whether it was smart to sign on. Yes, Robotnik was their mess and she wanted to help clean it up, but at what cost to her own character? She's seen things she's never seen despite the horrible nature of Robotropolis and Roboticization. So sometimes it's a simple question: was it all worth it?
