Sally finds a special little visitor waiting outside their house. Chris is not impressed...Oh, it was inevitable. I was fighting against a mighty current, and now I have been pulled under and asunder.

Oh. My gosh. I think I've found my new favorite series!
Now, Rainbow Dash isn't anywhere NEAR this lovey-dovey in the actual show (she'd be the first to give you a flying hoof to the face if you crossed her), but the aggravation on Chris' face is well worth it.

I'm not a fan of the show in the least, but I cannot help but like some of it because it just has an alluring charm that's somewhat addicting.
Never thought I'd say that about a show meant for little girls.

If it helps, Lauren Faust, the show's main creative mind, wrote the show with more than just the target demographic in mind. She wanted to make a girls' cartoon that appealed to a wide audience, however, she still had to work within the confines set up by Hasbro.
To quote one of her articles, she has said, "In short, animated shows for little girls come across as boring. Stupid. Lame.
This perception, more than anything, is what I am trying to change with My Little Pony."*
It seems this, combined with the honest effort and care of Studio B, has helped the show's popularity a great deal.

Well, for what it's worth, Lauren Faust was brilliant to do so.
Never before have I seen someone toss out the formula of an iconic kid's show and actually make it work even better than before.
That took alot of guts.
When I really think about it, there was a good chance it could have backfired big time.

You know, I was wondering how many people on my pre-pony* friends list started watching this show. The fact you drew this picture makes me think you like it, however, Chris' expression makes me think you're just playfully poking fun at the show. Either case is fine for me, I enjoy the show but I won't militantly spam people with it in attempts to make them watch or like it.
Anyhow, funny picture and the rage is really sold by Chris actually breaking what I assume is the TV Remote.
*I use pre-pony here since most of the people I've friended since I started to watch the show have been pony artists, hence they're fans of the show by default

It's just a lighthearted jab, really. I'm trying to show the division between those who like ponies, and those who really don't. Chris does not like ponies, while it appears that Sally will have a soft spot for them! That being said, I am not a fan of the show really. I can't seem to get into it.
Yeah, I am very happy with the expression in particular. Just pure unbridled rage channeled into freakish strength! Yup, it is a TV remote he is destroying!

It's good to hear this is all in good fun. I just hope hardcore 'bronies' don't try to flame you for the pic. Unfortunately, this fanbase can have a very dark and despicable side. However, I think I've seen a few tells for the fans to avoid and ignore.
1) They usually leave comments simply saying, "I'm gonna love and tolerate the **** out of you!" With multiple variations.
2) They'll usually say to keep watching the series until you find an episode you like and firmly believe that everyone should like the show no matter what.
3) They exclusively use the show's terminology such as 'everypony' and 'facehoof'
4) They use spellings like 'mane' for main cast.
While three and four are a bit iffy as fans may do that just for laughs, when they're in conjunction with one and two, that's when alarm bells should start ringing. However, this is purely from my experience so YMMV.
Also, be aware of anyone saying that EQD (Equestria Daily) sent them here. If your image is linked from there, there will inevitably be an influx of bronies visiting your page since Equestria Daily is the central place fans of the show congregate. To give an idea of how popular it is, it's currently sitting at about 123,000,000 pageviews just over a year after it went online and averages about 50,000 views per day.
Hope this helps and sorry for the long comment on something that should be inconsequential, but the extremist fans make this necessary and as someone who has been to the other side, I feel it would be negligent of me to not inform you of a possible impending can of worms.

Actually, now that you mention it, I have seen several of these tells scattered around the Internet on quite a few sites that I frequent. I can't bring myself to use different terminology because 1, I'm an English major. I'm trained not to do that, and 2. it just feels weird coming out of my mouth.
You really think that's a possibility? Because I for one would love some new traffic!

No problem, I've seen more than a few people turned away from the show because a bunch of fans were acting obnoxious with their "Forced Assimilation" attempts. Those curious about the show never tried it and those who were neutral began hating it.
But now I feel I have ignored the picture itself. Time to rectify that situation.
Reading through some of these comments, it seems you used the G3 version of Rainbow Dash, who was an Earth Pony with that very same Cutie Mark. It seems that typing names of ponies into search engines primarily bring up the older toy lines and little to nothing to do with G4. So technically, you did draw Rainbow Dash, just not the Rainbow Dash most were expecting.
You could probably keep her the way she is, but I do hope you do adjust her to her G4 form. In G4 she does have an edge to her character Chris may appreciate despite her outward appearance, as this clip demonstrates: [link]
I think there would only be one word to describe Chris' expression if he witnessed anything like that from a miniature pastel-colored pony: priceless.

The expression is golden, and I will always love this one because of that look: Wide open eyes combined with Sturgeon Frown and absolute disgust. And she doesn't notice because the cuteness factor actually BENDS LIGHT towards the pony in such a way where Chris is actually invisible to her while she stares at Rainbow Dash! Science!

I'm not sure whether to favorite it because it's a cute picture of a pony, or loathe and despise it because of how Chris reacts to the pony. It's very well drawn, though. Have you drawn ponies before?
