very intense with the deep values. makes a great impact. i was thinking maybe if you pulled a little bit more attention to the eyes the piece would be even more interesting. i don't know, add more highlights perhaps?

Thanks for all the great comments people, the amount of freckles was intentional, I think it looks like that on the original photo, the right eye isn,t quite round, hands are slightly strange, ill put it down to it being the last thing i did after shading the head, so i got a bit lazy.

One question though.... what's with all the dots on the skin? Were you going for pores? if so I think you may have made them just a little to pronounced. If not.... then my bad lol. Very good job though.

Nice piece! I especially love the contrast you used here. Love the piercing gaze of the eyes! Nice! The one thing I would mention are the hands or more specifically the fingers seem to be 'off'.they just don't seem to be bending naturally?
