Very much a what-if scenario I came up with, after going back and doing the Extra Story Mode with Raven when I changed her mentor to Bardock.Since she's a lot like Goku and all, I figured it'd be interesting to have Elery be sent in by Elder Kai instead. So in this rare case, the friendly rivals we all know have a bit of a tense showdown for a change...
And this also ties in to the interaction done with , which had Elery go in as her student Nino's partner and loyally following when she took the changing history path of the Extra Story Mode. So it'd sorta be like a alternate version of the ending parts of that interactions. AS SUCH, I'll welcome a VERY SHORT but fairly prolonged interaction here based ENTIRELY off the ending for Extra Story Mode. And yes, Elery will of course end up going Ultra Instinct as well during the fight, so both Raven and Nino will have to dig deep here at that...

Mhmm. Very much a what-if situation where Elery is sent in in place of Goku and tensions started to form between her and Raven as a result.
As you no doubt have seen from reading the comments too, things got even MORE intense when Nino stepped in to help Raven. Master and Student having quite a bit of a falling out....

But as we see in the later recent comments, things ended up alright when it was all said and done. Once more, Elery gets to enjoy a bit of a break and a vacation with her family and Nino.
Makes me kinda wanna see a picture one day soon (Not anytime soon or anything of course, but SOMEDAY in the future. x3) of Brachi and/or Majin Bara interacting with a dolphin, like how me and Whitney did when we went to Sea World for our vacation last month.

Raven: ... *She nods to Nino and turns to Bardock, her latest and official mentor* Don't worry about this one, alright? Just hold back for once, I'll handle this. (And for good measure, Bardock's role can be yours for this.)
Elery: ?!! *But in sprite of her shock, she looks to Nino somberly* Nino... while normally, I would have been disappointed in you for choosing the same side as Raven here... I know you this long to know that won't change your mind here, right? You're only doing what you think is right as well... then it's only best we see just which one of us IS right. Are you ready...?

Nino: Yeah...come at me, Elery.
Bardock: Tch...the hell’s with you, old man? Why in the hell are you making master and student fight each other like this? (Yeah, Bardock normally isn’t the compassionate type, but even he would know what Nino’s going through.)

Elder Kai: ?!! W-Why I never-
Elery: I'd just stay out of this one, old man... words alone will not work here. Better to let actions do so instead. Fact is, they're both only doing what they feel is right. And so am I...
Elder Kai: W-What- You... RRGH! Fine! Have it your way!!
Raven thus taps into her Awoken State once more, while Elery goes Super Saiyan Blue as well. A tense battle was surely about to begin!

Nino enters her own awoken state...her Potential Unleashed form.
Nino (Potential Unleashed): ...no pity. Let’s do this.

Raven and Elery nod... before the two of them rush at each other, clashing swords after Raven drew her katana, making Elery draw one of her own using Capsule Corp tech!
But with this clash, the two rivals break away and put away their weapons. There were no weapons to be used in this fight, as Raven goes for an Aura Slide chop series, which Elery dodges and blocks before hitting dead center with a uncharged Evil Explosion!
Turning to Nino, Elery's face was twisted in something of an angry expression... but deep down, Nino would surely know that while Elery wouldn't feel pity at first, she would later... as she aims and fires a Burst Kamehameha at her own student!

She dodges-narrowly-And fires energy blades.
Nino: Why can’t Fu go free?! He hasn’t done anything wrong!

SSGSS Elery: *Grunts as she took a few hits from the energy blades, but pauses briefly at Nino's words* ...Nino, as with Raven I would have agreed with you on any other day. But even if his intentions weren't directly to change history, he still did so. And so he has to answer for that.
Raven (Awoken): Well, we'll just have to prove to you ourselves he didn't mean any ill intentions! *Charges up for a Heavenly Arrow barrage!*
SSGSS Elery: ...We shall see. *Uses Super Guard to block out the ki blasts fired from Raven, but then senses Nino behind her and barely turns around to come face-to-face-!*

WHACK! Nino lands a harsh punch to the jaw! Nino: Wake Up! Are you so duty-bound that you can’t even accept that some changes in history may benefit others in the long run?!

Elery was momentarily stunned... it was almost as if the shock of her own student socking her in the jaw like that and speaking to her like this started to effect her!
Raven (Awoken): Now! *Moves in and smacks Elery with a fist of her own, quickly charging up and firing a Super Black Kamehameha at full power! The impact sends Elery flying backwards and tearing into her battle suit, to where she then saw her Saiyaness rival's breastplate crumble away!* We're right, Elery! So you can't just assume all changes to history made are bad-
But then Raven freezes in place, when she noticing Elery's posture... steam emitting from her body and a slightly hunched over position...
And when Elery slowly rises to a upright position... her eyes pop open, and they're SILVER!! (Here we... GO!)

Nino: So...Ultra Instinct. If it’s come to this, then...*she enters Frenzied Instinct!* ...I must respond in kind. Allow us to show you that our cause is just!

With a fearsome echoed bellow, Elery ascends into Ultra Instinct, her tail uncoiling from around her waist for now, as she calmly removes a single remaining piece of her broken battle suit from her shoulder.
Raven (Awoken): Damm... *Sees Nino enter Frenzied Instinct and nods, summoning forth her single black wing she inherits from Sephiroth himself!*
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ...
Raven (Awoken): Elery... this isn't about our rivalry anymore. This even even about you and Nino as master and student ether. It's about what we believe is right ourselves, whether you and the others believe it or not.
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ...Then show it to me!

Nino rushes, and a power struggle ensues!
Nino (Frenzied Instinct): I don’t want to hurt you, but you’re leaving me no choice! Justice is on my side today!

UI Elery fights hard and fast without another word, going for Surging Fist blows and right down to using a Godly Display as well!
But with the aide of her single black wing, Raven swoops and dodges each blow and blast, zipping past as she cuts into her Saiyan rival with aura-infused chops and energy blades, wearing her down slowly but surely!

Nino, Meanwhile, pelts her with energy blasts that could level continents, making it clear that she’s fighting with all her strength.
In Elery’s Heart, however...she begins to doubt that what she’s doing is truly the right thing... (This will result in drama when...well...I’ll tell ya when it’ll happen.)

And with this doubt creeping up, she slowly starts to slow down, as if she wasn't wishing to fight anymore!
Raven (Awoken): ...Elery, do you truly believe everything you were ever told as far as changes in history being wrong?
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ...

Nino (Frenzied Instinct): What about the changes where those in the Change benefited? Should we have let them suffer a horror they didn’t deserve? You claim to be about protecting others, Elery, but you put your duty as a Time Patroller over your promise to keep people safe, and hide it behind a belief that any change in history must be corrected. ...you’re being cowardly. You’re too afraid to admit the pain you go through watching others suffer when you want to save them, out of fear of Elder Kai chewing you out. You have no idea how much it hurts to even bring this up, let alone outright accusing you of it, but...am I wrong? If I am, I’ll take everything back, if you can prove it.
(Here comes drama time. Desperate to prove herself to be right-and to avoid Elder Kai chewing her out, of course-she’ll do something so drastic that both of them will realize what may have happened...)

(Oh... well, I actually don't quite understand what it would be that she'll do that's so drastic, so maybe just spoiler it for me? Sorry, but I'm just a little confused on that end... 
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ...
Raven (Awoken): ...Well, Elery? What do say to that?
Elery (Ultra Instinct): .....

(In her desperation...Elery will end up SERIOUSLY hurting Nino. Like, need to have her healed by the Supreme Kai Of Time kind of hurt. Near death’s Door, if you know what I mean. That clarify it at all?)
Nino (Frenzied Instinct): Answer us!

(Ahh, OK. Yea, I get it now. That'll REALLY be traumatic alright...
So then here we go then... oh man, I can't hardly take it to be honest... I mean, of course things will be alright in the end, right? Still...
Before ether Raven or Nino could react, there was a sudden blur...
And all goes silent, until-
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ...I'm sorry, Nino... that it had to come to this.
Raven (Awoken): ?!! *Slowly realizes what had happened, and her eyes widen in total complete shock!* N-NINO!!!
In a shocking turn of events, UI Elery had moved too fast for anyone's eyes, and had delivered a fatal single blow to Nino's gut, knocking every bit of wind out of her own student and surely seriously HURTING her in the process!!!
Elery (Ultra Instinct): If this is all you can offer for your 'cause'... then you really have let me down. All changes in history, regardless of the circumstances, MUST be corrected. And those held responsible for it having to answer for it.
Raven (Awoken): Nino, NO!!! *Rushes in to try and save Nino, but is blasted away by UI Elery*
Elery (Ultra Instinct): ....Nino... you have disappointed me, after all... *With her fist still in Nino's gut, she leans back a bit and gives it another solid punch!*
Elder Kai: ?!! E-Elery, STOP!! That's going too far, even for you!! (Figured maybe even Elder Kai might now start to feel some remorse too, if that works and all too)
Elery (Ultra Instinct): SHUT UP, old man!!

Nino: !!!! ...how...could you...? This isn’t...what Trunks...would want... You’re...nothing but...a coward...too scared to...admit when...you’re wrong...or when you’re...going too far...just like...with...Tifa... (She falls unconscious.)
(Of course it will. But...I suspect that there will be an epilogue where Elery tries to regain Nino’s trust. It’ll take a while, and some serious apologizing will need to happen, but, in the end...it’ll be okay.)

Elery (Ultra Instinct): .....
Raven (Awoken): Elery, STOP!! That is enough..... and don't think for a DAMM second I haven't forgotten that ether! You trying to kill me... just to get back at Tifa like that... that was ALSO going WAY to far!!
Elery (Ultra Instinct): .....
Elder Kai: B-Bardock, don't just stand there- *But finally, it appeared Fu was gonna escape after all!* N-No, wait a-
Elery silenced the old Kai again, and simply glares at Fu for a few short tense minutes, and then finally... with tears in her eyes as her body gives out from the strain her Ultra Instinct form was having and she too reverts to normal...
Elery: G-Get out of here... dammit, what have I.....? *And there she too falls unconscious...*

Bardock: That does it! Old man, get Whitney and Chris, and get those two out of there! NOW!

Elder Kai: ...But, Fu? Where in the world did that boy get off to?
Raven turns in that moment, as Chris and Whitney were already coming in to fetch Elery and Nino's unconscious bodies and take them back... and sees the Supreme Kai of Time moving to her and Bardock.
Raven: Chronoa... tell us, what do YOU feel about all this? Fu... he just needed the energy that he wanted, and so... I just... *Shuts her eyes as she starts to wonder at that point herself (For further added drama) if what she did was the right choice as well...*
Elery Kai: ...

Chronoa: Let’s not forget about who stopped Dabura and saved me. I say we call it even and let Fu’s escape slide. We’ll punish him only if his intentions turn out to be evil. Okay?
Bardock: Sounds Good to me. Now that that’s finally settled, can we please get Nino and Elery out of there before they DIE?! I don’t think the Time Patrol can afford to lose two of its best members!

Raven: *Opens her eyes and hears the SKoT out, and nods* Very well, Supreme Kai of Time.
Elder Kai: *Sighs and nods* if that's your word then, then I haven't the choice. I concede...

Raven helps Whitney and Chris to get Elery and Nino back to the Time Next so they both would heal... but the damage to the heart was already done...
For the next couple of weeks, Elery was left with a very deep scar on her heart. A scar on seriously injuring her own student like she did weighted heavily on her heart...
She didn't leave her and Trunks's bedroom after he temporary moved Daisy and Rose out of the house, and just sat on the edge of the bed, bawling her eyes out as the deepness of her regrets left her severely depressed...
Raven would check in every so often, but would be met with the same image every time; Elery sitting on the edge of the bed, soft crying heard from the Saiyaness as she held her face with her hands. It was hard seeing Elery like this... and for Raven, it was just as hard when she checked in on Nino as well...

Nino’s sorrow...her anger...her distrust...all palpable. Eventually...the moment Elery knew had to come is upon her. She has to find a way to regain the trust she lost.
Nino is Silent...she doesn’t want to get angry, but...

Raven: Well? Go ahead then. Say what you want to say...
Elery: *Sniffs as she looks to Nino* ...Nino... I-I'm sorry. I was wrong... you were right. I was so lost in the moment and the Ultra Instinct side of me took over completely in that very moment. What I have done is unforgivable... but I hope that you can find it in your heart to forgive me and let me regain your trust. If not...
Elery then turns, knowing what she will say next will surely shock everyone. Even Raven at that...
Elery: If I cannot earn your trust again, then... I have failed everyone. Not just you, but Trunks, Raven... everyone. And so I will return to my universe, leave the Time Patrol... and promptly die in battle. My age at this point, I would not face anyone else but Lord Beerus, and have him destroy me...
Raven: ?!! Elery, am I even HEARING this right?! Why even CONSIDER that as an option for you right now?!
Elery: ...Because of what I've done to Nino. It was a terrible costly mistake, that's ruined me for the worst. I've... I've become the very thing she had feared the most...
Raven: ?!! *Then remembers the encounters she and Nino had with Dark Goddess Elery, and she frowns* Elery... just because you did something very bad, doesn't automatically mean you're as evil as THAT counterpart of yours Nino and I encountered before!
Elery: ....But, I... (And I reckon after hearing all that, Nino's...

Nino: ...one more chance. That’s all you’re getting. One. More. Chance. If this happens again...I will destroy you myself. Are we clear? I want to trust you. I do. But...it’s hard, given everything that happened. If you show any sign of becoming like a dark goddess...I will find you. And I WILL kill you. It isn’t personal. I just don’t want anyone else to be hurt like I was. You understand that, don’t you...Senpai?

Elery: ...I do, Nino. So I promise, I will strive to be better then I was back there. And be more understanding of situations like this.
Raven: Then the Supreme Kai of Time told you?
Elery: Yes. She spoke of how Fu had stopped Dabura in the end, so it's clearer to me now that he's not good or bad yet. He's just a kid... and quite a curious one at that.
Raven: *Nods* Well... curious or not, let it be known for certain now that we all will work as one again, if Fu so much as THINKS an evil thought. We'll punish him together and united, not separate and divided.
Elery: Right. *Nods to this... and then turns back to Nino* ...And Nino, I wouldn't expect anything less from you if I fall out of line fully. Even if I was lost at that point in my darker desires, deep down you would know I'd honor your choice and only fight for what I believed in at that point, even if I was too far gone by then to be saved. So I would trust in you being the one to end me on that regard. For I'd truly hate to see this world burn even by my own hands...
And at this, as Elery's tears returned... she swiftly pulls her top student into a hug, perhaps one of remorse... of regret. Of that deep scar still cut into her heart...
Elery: *Whispers into Nino's ear as she sniffs and sobs bitterly* ....I'm so sorry......

Nino sniffles, tearing up a little... Nino: ...I forgive you. Never let yourself fall like that again...not without warning me of potential changes in your mental state first.

At this, Raven turns and nods... to where Elery turns and sees her family now step in as well, along with Elder Kai and SKoT as well. It was time for Elery to also face a bit of thunder from the Kais and her husband...
Elder Kai: Elery... while it was still partially my own fault for sending you in to try and stop Fu, having not grasped the situation as Raven and Nino did, you still ended up severely injuring someone close to you. The blame won't just fall squarely on my shoulders, you know. However... *Nods to Chronoa letting her speak her mind next*

Supreme Kai Of Time: I think you need a break. At least 5 months or so. Relax and chat with your student. Raven and the others can handle any missions that may arise while you two are further repairing your bond.
Nino: I’m open to spending time with you. I just want to know what caused you to snap like that...and I want to know your reasons. Please...

Elery: You're right. Thank you, Supreme Kai of Time. *Bows respectfully and nods to Nino's words* Of course, and I'm willing now to come clean and speak of why that happened. Since you're all here, I'll go ahead and speak of it now.
Raven: Very well, proceed.
Elery: Truth is... I just didn't want to believe at that moment I was wrong. Maybe it was the Ultra Instinct itself that caused it, or....
Raven: Lemme guess... personal pride?
Elery: ... *Nods to this*
Elder Kai: That would be likely, given that all Saiyans are surely prideful in the end truth be told. Perhaps you just lost control of yourself and let your pride overcome your other emotions instead.
Elery: If nothing else... then yes, it was most likely this. Just a matter of personal pride... and for that, I apologize greatly as well... *Bows once more*

Nino: That’s why a vacation would help, I think. You could relax and let go of that pride for a while.

Elery: Yeah... not to mention mending another relationship besides that with you, Nino...
And so finally, after months of being separated and not seeing one another or being together like they normally would... Elery turns to face her husband, and their daughters...
Elery: T-Trunks... Daisy... R-Rose, sweetie... *Sniffs as her eyes water up again, and she lowers her head in sorrow* If there's anyone else I'm just as sorry to as with Nino, it's you all. I... I feel horrible still for what I've done, and letting you 3 down as well. As a wife AND as a mother...
Rose (Kid): Mama... please don't cry. *Sniffs as she moves right in and hugs her mother tenderly...*

Trunks (Xeno): Right. Elery, you’re not a bad person. Sure, you sometimes have a bad day and make bad decisions, but everyone does that sometimes.

Elery tenderly hugs little Rose as she kneels down to her, and looks back up at Xeno Trunks proper.
Elery: T-Trunks... then you're... not mad? *Even in that moment, she had clearly now swallowed her pride finally, and sought her beloved's comfort, just as she did for him when they first fell in love...* (Course, that references this from her Xenoverse 2 adventures; EleryXTrunks: Destined Love Of History... )
