Description
Okay, so this is some STRANGE stuff right here. These are some sample pages that i did after talking with my homeboy Tim Kane, and basically he challenged me do some pages, and practice on a simple storytelling style and try to just be very SIMPLE.SO i did it and this is what came out, now these are pretty old and i dont like them much at all, there are some rushed areas in them, BUT, i definitely did learn alot about myself pencil wise, and i show these to set up the next load of pages that i will be showing to you all, so STAY TUNED!
*Spiderman belongs to Marvel Comics, not me*

ha, practice......damn u.....
These are really good, sort of remind me of aeon flux a little, or the moebius style that it came from, which is always a good thing.

Loving the clean lines! Just curious, but how long did it take you to pencil and ink a page? And is a page about A4 size? (Sorry, I live outside of the US so I'm a little embarassed to say I've never seen comic book pencilling paper before like the one you've used.)

Storytelling is a bit jumpy (especially on page 1), but the art is top notch.
I'd buy it.

not to be a dick, but the art style reminds me of a mixture of Tony Moore and Cory Walkers of Invincible.

Hey I saw those in-progress lol. I like man love the line quality and the attention to detail. I also like the fact that I can see expressions on faces and different faces at that not just one cookie cutter faces. its IGHT though lol.

I wish I had that paper...but...it's way too damn expensive. That or I have to work for comics O__O.
I love this...very nice. It's surprising how people can be so detailed about backgrounds and not get tired. xD

these are really solid pages- my favorite page is actually the first one- You've gotta buncha people just standing around and it's still engaging.
my only gripe would be in the neck muscle definition- it's a little distracting. It's something that could be easily muted in the coloring phase by toning the lines or something, but anyhoo

Holy schmoly, bro, whatya thinking?! Telling me how great my stuff is, just to put uberawesome stuff like this on the table!!?
Man, I know, older pages are always frightening for the artist himself, but, man, these are great though. No idea what you are capable NOW!
I guess I see partly, which little things are bothering you, but overall it looks really good- btw. besides your drawing style I really like your storytelling. Clear, not "overacting"...I'm a fan of clear paneling!

you planning to submit this to marvel? you should. its really solid. the great thing about this script is that it requires you to draw everything that you'd need to. slow scenes, fast scenes, backgrounds etc. and you nail it all.
great work.

Hmmmm... I remember these. We got them back when my college tried to get a comic class going and we (me and my husband :iconAdamWithers) asked everyone at the Chicago comic con for raw scripts to work from. We got this one and a few others from Marvel, and I'd say about a quarter of the class choose these as their final project. It was pretty interesting to see the different ways that everyone went about doing them. I remember it being really hard to decipher back in the day, but when I got it out recently to consider doing them again, it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered.
But enough about that. Nice work as always - not as good as your current stuff, but our first set of pages never are.

i like these alot man, tells a good solid story without any incredibley dramatic panel breaking splashes. the backgrounds are really solid, and good facial expressions. making a story exciting even when its only talking is really hard to do. mad props dude cause i like what youve done.
are you pro? do you work for marvel?

Well, in my opinion, simple is the best way to go. I think artist sometimes get to cluttered in their storytelling. These pages really allow the reader to follow the story and that is what pencilers should do man. SO good stuff bro.

without reading a word of anyone's comments and worldless art I know this is the old marvel partist submission test story!
other hopeful artists take note, this guy is a great story teller, ie: no words needed! (aside from descriptions in the script)
I'm sure you've heard it many times before, but this is solid work, you'll getpicked up soon by one of the compaines if you haven't already. If you are an amature, then you're top of the pops.

I love it. Of course.
Some of the action's a bit stiff, though. And besides a couple black outlines, there's not much sense of light and dark, but that leaves it open entirely to the colourist's interpretation, which can be fun.
The blank panel's loaded with potential... I can see a fully-painted shot of Petey pulling on his mask in the shadow around the corner...

Interesting! There's some awesome action shots and some dynamic progession cells here. I think i can see some of the things that you might not be happy with, but it flows really well and that's what stands out about it. oh yeah and the kweli linestyle too of course!
nice work.
