A superb tumult of tones and textures; an outstanding analogue of a rising bad moon.

thank you, it was a lucky shot because i'd never seen the right side of the unit but ventured round there to see if there was any rust

what a wonderful way to put it! that makes me wonder, what injured the metal and caused it to bleed...water? age?

Did you paint this or is this a real lucky find? It looks like a painting and it's just perfect. It seems like the moon is catching fire.

I had to favour this, in memoriam Iain Banks, as it really does evoke the nasty divination machine in Banks' debut novel. Banks went on to deploy the considerable talent for devious nastiniess that went into that on a grand scale in Consider Phlebas, Use of Weapons and Surface Detail, to name only three of the best SF novels of all time.

'The Culture' is an astonishing achievement altogether. Given half a chance, I think I'd join. I don't know about being a member of SC, though. Contact would be about my speed.
