Runescape's been seeing a lot of amazing graphic updates, lately. (I know some of you think that Runescape looks like this , but you really have no idea!)
I don't care what anyone else thinks, but the update was packed with so many amazing graphical updates, and fanart just seemed like a necessity this month. Out of all of the new gear, I didn't expect my favorite to be an armor I'd probably never use. Zuriel's Robes, which permanently degrade when used, had gained this fascinating, almost Egyptian influence, and I couldn't resist getting it. I don't know whether the likeness was intentional, but it certainly would make sense as far as the game's lore goes! Ironically, it's Zuriel's staff that's most coveted, but actually, my mage is using the "Staff of Light" here. Couldn't help it -- it went with the outfit too well!
I was originally going for a more dramatic perspective with this, (the ground was to be at a 45 degree angle) but that isn't how it worked out. Anyway, I'll manage some crazy perspective one of these days.
I will most likely be submitting this for the contest, as it just so happens that there is no theme and I finished in time for the deadline.

It's a staff, believe it or not! This one's not my design (fan art on this one,) but when the item was released, the point was a staff that could actually hit decent melee damage.

It's like MMOs, it can be ridiculously addicting. Fortunately, I've been addicted to too many other games to get into it lately. XD (Even then, I spend much more time doing my art/reading/other stuff than actually getting around to my games.)

ahh I see, so you play this online? Yeah well I know how that is, when I was younger I was into games a lot, heck I was even addicted to them at one point but God healed me of that.

To be clear, I kind of throw around the word "addiction" jokingly, as it refers more to what I'm into than to how much I'm into it. But I've been misunderstood before (actually recently) because of my tendency to post a lot of game-related jokes. Someone actually called me out on idolatry on facebook without really knowing how much time I actually spend gaming.

I'd be happy just to see it in the gallery, I think. I've won the prize once before, and I'm satisfied with that. Either way, I'll be excited to see the other art this month, because chances are there is a lot inspired by the new gear, which I love!

Also had a look at your gallery. You *should* start again! Runescape just put out a werewolf costume and emote today (I know you're excited about that?) I think a wolf in a wolf costume (or performing the emote) would be a pretty amusing approach!

I know what you are talking about though, Zuriel's are also one of my favorite armour sets! I used to wear them all the time when I was at the Fishing guild, just before I clicked on one of the Goblins there by accident and degraded them. I haven't bought another set since, although I've thought about it a lot since the graphical update. XD

I totally know how you feel. I put on these robes and I'm suddenly a nervous wreck, clicking my minimap or right clicking where I can so that no accidents happen. I think, "Is this what it feels like to be a level 3 pure?" The pain we go through for fashion, haha!
