Description
This is a simplified, alternatively colored variation on a tattoo design a friend asked me for. The profile is of Bastet, both figuratively and literally, since the cat's image is a trace of this photo of my cat, also Bastet!On a side note, I think I spent more time researching ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics than I did actually finishing this piece.

I wanted to create a design that would work as a tattoo, and I really wanted to work this photo into it. The problem is that the photo heavily relies on a contrast of light and dark with dark being the backdrop; I needed to create something to be a backdrop, and this is what worked out best. I'm really happy with how it turned out
