Description
A lot of people put "human legs" on dinosaurs. Not only when drawing, they are also very common in animatronics (90% of which are crap in the purest form). This needs to be corrected. Also, be careful with max. movement range (not shown here). Examples: at maximum retraction of the hip, the femur will be at 90° (vertical). And even at maximum extension of the knee, femur and tibia/fibula will NOT be aligned at 180°. Never.
If you find any error, let me know. (Both in the anatomy and the grammar). Suggestions are welcome.

I'm not sure what you mean by this shrink wrapping and zombie body building. I see a slight difference in the lines of your art, but I'm not sure how that would be applied to a more detailed picture.

shrink wrapped= having skin almost immediately put over the skeleton.
It gives very sharp lines, around the skeleton, which looks and IS unnatural for any animal.
non-shrink wrapped= enough fat and muscle and skin, and other soft tissue, to sustain a healthy animal

A quick question?... For larger Dinosaurs, would legs not be bent as much?... I always hear that the tail and 180 degree back counterbalances weight. Yet don't "at least bipedal" legs have to support all that?...

Oh I definitely needed to see this. I had this nagging feeling I was drawing legs terribly terribly wrong, and now I know why. Thanks!

Great, hope this will help many budding artists!
One minor thing - switch the labels for tibia/fibula.

Excellent work.
Also, a side point; I'm no expect, but for any animal (including ourselves) to maintain that kind of bent knee position for long periods of time, surely that would be very tiring?

thank you!
About the position, what yoult said.

Birds have their knees bent their whole life, putting it straight is very stressing or even impossible for them. Actually many animals, including mammals, have their knees bent in neutral positions, look that Cattle Skeleton for example.

Isn't the bulk of the m. caudofemoralis longus attached to the tail?

yes, but there was no space to draw the tail so I just faded it.
