The most derp parasect.I found this thing so hard to draw for some reason. Not very happy with the result honestly, but oh well.

Yeah for sure, one of the very few pokes who learns a sleep inducing move with 100% accuracy. Thankfully it's so slow, otherwise this thing would completely break r/b/y haha.

Ahh, thanks. I haven't worked with texture much before so it was kind of an experiment. That and an attempt at making Parasect a bit more interesting lol. Going to try and use the technique more in the future though, peeps seem to like it.

Why aren't you happy with the end result? I think it's absolutely fabulous!
It is very detailed; I'm in love with the lumps and bumps you put on his claws! The colors are wonderful, not too harsh and not too faded. You have chosen a very decent pose for the Parasect, one that I feel that is unique as people seem to draw him in the same "side" position every time. In this one he's just leisurely making his way through Viridian Forest on a lazy afternoon

Basically I wasn't happy with it because I feel like I didn't put enough effort into the plants closest to the viewer, and also because I didn't spend enough time working with the pose. To me his legs and the way they connect to the body are very strange in this, but every reference I could find showed none of his underside. He always seems to be drawn from above with his legs and face sticking mysteriously out from under the mushroom, so I had to guess a little as to how he would look in a pose like this.

I like the plants up front even though you feel they aren't finished. I feel like they give a very good sense of movement because they are so scribbled. And the legs are attached a bit oddly to his underside, but! He IS a insect Pokemon and insect legs always attach a bit strangely. Also his would be attached a bit further up his sides because of how squat he is due to the mushroom.

Thanks! I couldn't think of what to do to make Parasect like, interesting looking so I tried to play with his design a little bit and give him that rough bumpy look. And also make him look like a derpass. lol

At first I kind of visualized having him bursting out of some underbrush with lots of movement and color, but then I realized that Parasect probably would not be very mobile. So I settled on having him just chilling in said underbrush instead like a giant living mushroom probably would. Didn't want to abandon the bright color scheme I had in mind though.

If you're looking for something bright, then just add contrast XD Red/yellow flowers to contrast the green. Or something that's different in color

lol. I was going to scrap it last night but I decided it wasn't that bad. Parasect is just REALLY weird to me. The only thing I really hate about this now is how badly done the plants in the foreground are, haha.
