Another oldie from the old EDF archives.

Back when I was 18 my friends and I had just finished the pilot episode of our super over ambitious seres "EDF", rather than launch into another full 40 minuite ep right away, I decided to write a short 10 minuite story that loosely continued some of the threads from the previous story. This episode came to be know as "Inferno". As the story took place on another planet it became apparent that the EDF would need a spaceship.

The "Excalibur" itself started life as a digital doodle I put together in GCSE art, it stuck with me and for this story I stuck with it and refined it into a more streamlined shape. I wanted to capture the same old and crappy but still awesome type look that Serenity had (having just gotten into firefly at the time.)

I envisioned the big winglets as reinforced armour sections and they where a common theme amongst craft in the EDF universe.
