Basically what I was trying to do in this piece was have a planet surrounded by mist and a beam of light breaking through the mist surrounding the planet and have the light shining on the planet.Technical Specifics

Well for the mist I actually used a filter but edit it from there.
I was actually going to make the planet covered with lava, but that didn't work out so I just used textures that seemed to fit.
