In 2076, UESPA launched two new exploration vessels: the Solaris and the Inquiry. These two ships tested an experimental new power generation system. Until this point, UESPA ships were using antimatter fusion reactors to power their ships. These new vessels would use a warp core, fuelled by the nacelles and powered by Dilithium. Not only was this new system safer, it was orders of magnitude more efficient, unlocking the ability to build larger vessels, which could run indefinitely.
