Tada I drew/sketched Lynx from Wings of Fire!

You probably don't know her if you didn't read Winter Turning

I ship Lynx with Winter! Here are some clues dropped by Tui:

1. Winter Turning, page 249, hardcover edition: " He spent several minutes scanning the rankings, taking note of what changed in his absence.... Lynx was in second place behind Snowfall, and that was much better news, she was only the daughter of a minor noble, but a hard worker and very smart," Here, we can see that Winter thinks that Lynx is hardworking and smart and her being high in the rankings is good news!

2.Winter Turning, page 258: "He gave Snowfall a dazzling smile and she hunched her wings with a scowl. On her other side, Lynx smiled back, mouthing the words "So great." DUN DUN DUN! Lynx smiled back, even though Winter smiled at Snowfall! And then she complimented Winter, which is something you don't see very often in the ice kingdom

3. Winter Turning, page 259: "Congratulations," Lynx said. "You must have had such an adventure." Another compliment from Lynx to Winter!

4. Winter Turning, page 259: "She had an unusual pattern of dark blue scales scattered across her white snout and wings. Winter had always found them pretty, but now they just reminded him of Moon's silver scales." This speaks for itself. And even though Winter really really loves Moonwatcher, the fact that Lynx reminded him of someone he loves means something.

5. Winter Turning, page 267: "The next morning he found Lynx and asked her to train with him. The familiar fighting patterns came naturally, and focusing on her attacks helped drive out all the other worries in his head. They leaped and wrestled in the snow outside the palace until they were exhausted" Winter was comfortable enough with Lynx to ask her to train with him, even though he was looked down upon by his whole tribe for years.

There aren't many parts with Lynx and Winter together, but those were literally all of Lynx's appearances. In all of Lynx's appearances, she didn't ignore or scold or taunt Winter, she complimented and supported him. From what I know of IceWing behavior, that is pretty rare.

Some may say that Winter loves Moonwatcher waaaaaay more, and that's true. But Qibli is more likely to end up with her. (reread the books, I'm too lazy to point out all the hints)

So if WinterWatcher/WinterMoon/Moonter/whatever doesn't happen, Lynx will be the most likely to be with Winter. And I SHIP IT!
