Description
*EDIT* Closed for entries from 730AM Friday 8th May. Thank you to all those who entered. I will be announcing the winner at some point today.Check out the winner:
And next contest here:
------
I havn't had much time recently for any personal pieces, Social Distancing has kept me much busier than anticipated with other peoples work and also being a teacher in the UK I'm still working two days per week- so to give something back and also to keep myself entertained I had this idea for a competition. I'm not sure how much traction this will get, but here goes anyway.
This image represents the "Origin" moment for this brand new character- if you'd like me to render an image of your choosing, your own character or maybe a friends- someone in your D&D party, whatever- all you have to do is submit an origin story for this character. Tell me who she is, what's happening around her and maybe even what she goes on to become.
Entries should be a minimum of 300 words- write them right down below in the comments so that other's can discuss your ideas with you. On the 8th May I will pick my favourite- also taking into account other Deviant's opinions from the comments and that person will win a free commission from me, like the one above?
It would mean an awful lot to me if you could share/promote this contest if you are able to!
Any questions?? Go ahead and ask.
Hope you're all well.

Contest~ Lila Whitehill: Protector of the Novabush16-year-old Lila Whitehill lived in a hidden colony called The Novabush. The small land is filled with mystical civilians that are separate from the rest of society. The Novabush had two separate colonies, the Healers and the Conquerors. Healers believed civilization can thrive off of working together and living in peace, while the Conquerors believed that civilization could only thrive off of war and power.
Β Β Hundreds of years ago, the two colonies used to live as one in harmony. They would trade and expand together. But the more they thrived, the more they disagreed on how they should continue to grow as a society. Conflict has struck out many times between the two colonies, until theyβve separated to different lands, leaving the Healers and Conquerors to fend for themselves.
Β Β Lila, like most of the Healers, was very gentle and kind to everyone and everything around her. She lived with her parents in a small cottage deep in the Healerβs colony. Sh

Behind her the forest burned. Ancient oaks that had existed when her people were only just discovering themselves blazed like torches, darkening the sky with the grey back pollution of their deaths. She could hear animals and creatures that had been mysteries within the depths of the wood realm now panicked, revealed by their flight from the conflagration. Mixed in with their brays and bellows were also the cries of her own people.
She could hear their utter dismay. Hear their horror. For a thousand years their realm had stood, protected not just from the brutish outsiders who pretended to culture that lived beyond, but from time and storm itself by the wards they had cast, the spells they had interwoven. They had crafted songs, carved statues, built structures, and woven clothing of god like beauty, safe in their bowers, convinced that what they were creating was everlasting. They were creating paradise, and nothing could touch it.
But something had. Something had crept in. It had unbound the protections, dispelled the wards. It had snuck through the night planting small, insidious curses, prepared an order of disasters, and, when it was ready, it had struck.
And now, she stood in the midst of the disaster. A tear should have rolled down her cheek, but none came. No tears had been shed when her father, a man she had loved beyond life itself, had been struck down by barbaric animals that aped the shape of her kind. Elders declared his death to be his own doing for daring to step outside their safe little world. And so she would shed no tear for that world, the world she had ended in fire.
