Omori found pleasure in the simple things in her life, the vanilla smell of old parchment, washing ink from her fingertips and the multicoloured patterns the swirls made as her brush plunged into the water in between the bold strokes of her fingers, wrist and elbow as she battled to capture an image of a fairy in flight or a gryphon at rest. She was an assistant to the renowned naturalist Baron Hano Yabe- until he got himself killed by a maternal Flame Wolf leaving her stranded on a mountain side with nothing but his old sword, her inks and her wits.
