Gah- the marketplace was fruitless!! ..Well... technically it wasn't, they did sell fruit- but not a single vendor had the particular 'fruit' she was looking for! One would think, that as vast and diverse as the saraph market was, someone would be selling a dragon egg, but no! Not even for an incredible, expensive price! Fine. So be it. If she could not find one in the gardens, she'd have to go outside the gardens - or at least as far out as she could. The Gorge.

She started her day early that morning, leaving her home before Roth's sun peeked above the Garden walls. Passing by the quiet market, she scoffed and turned away, soon entering the even quieter canyons. It was a very familiar place for the hen. For days, weeks, and even months of the year, she'd be working from within them. Whether that meant protecting the pools, or training on her own time; the Gorge was a good place to be. It was a place she'd often escape to to let out steam, to cope with recent politics and other things that irked her. But, she did not reflect much on her surroundings other than that- not when there was work to be done.

For the entire day, she searched; soaring high, scouring cliffsides, rolling boulders, clearing debris, whatever it took. Roth's sun burned down on her back- but Otrera did not let it bother her. Perhaps it was his blessing; a physical sign he was watching her, testing her strength against his. Or perhaps it was just a scorching hot day? Whatever the case; Otrera kept at her task all day, right until Roth saw it fit to return beyond the horizon. Even if He had retired for the night, the saraphem refused to do the same.

She'd search long into the night if it meant finding what she came out for.
