Description
Most people only get to see my digital art. That's because the majority of my art is done on oekaki.When I do make an analog art piece, I like to use charcoal.
This is a charcoal still life of two fencer statues that I made a few years ago. I took a picture of the piece with a digital camera, but it doesn't really do it justice.

I'd been dying to see your charcoal stuff since you said that was your medium off the computer. I'm quite pleased!! I've never been one for charcoal myself, or powder pastels because I never had a mask when I used them for class so I was always hacking up black and colored things... ._.;;
Conte crayons produce the same effect that I like from charcoal without as much dust, have you ever tried them?

I can't say that I have.
I've never worn a mask when working with charcoal, but most of the time it isn't too bad. I think I smear most of that dust into the paper.
Can you still smear Conte crayons around effectively?
