Description
You guys really didn't think that last submission was going to be it for Halloween did yaThis certainly ended up very different from my original plan, which was going to be even darker and involve more houses. Perhaps I wouldn't have finished so late if I didn't waste hours modelling extra houses that I decided not to use since I favoured a more rural ambiance when it came to setting up everything else. But I think this direction managed to combine the spooky theme with an eerily relaxing one, typical of the kinds of moods I like to work with.

Oh if I had a penny for every piece I made a million adds and then deleted 90% at the last minute. I love this I have never seen anything quite like this!! Talk about inspirational. Love it !!! I always plan everything way to big and have to cut it back to meet deadlines. Luckily I figured out how to dial it down rather than give up or completely fail. We all have to start some where never hurts to dream but. Worth the wait!!!

I'm no stranger to having to sacrifice ideas I really wanted to include in certain artworks because of time (or sometimes - hardware) limitations. It does suck, but can force one to come up with creative alternatives

Yeah it's been years since I used a more traditional orange theme for a Halloween artwork. Was about time I did it again

And if I have to wait 2 years it will be okay ^^ Can't wait to see more of them ^^
By the way, how long does it take to make such a "picture"? Looks like a lot of work to me

Chromattix In reply to Yurizaly [2014-11-08 21:03:37 +0000 UTC]
Maybe it won't be that long. I try to aim for one a year at least
They are a lot of work though, which is why I only do them rarely in the first place. After finishing one I don't want to think about another for a long time

Me: "Oooh, this interactive actually seems to have a nice, serene atmosphere. The scenery looks very lovely and the graveyard actually looks- OH, WAIT WHAT'S THAT SKELETON DOING THERE?"
And at second glance, I saw the pumpkins! Very well done.

As usual you have outdone yourself!!! Awesome, Spot on!!! Now that the Red Slime has overrun this country with their Bigotry and Hate, I will instead focus more of my attention here. This country is dying while Hate and its allies are on the rise. At least here I can escape and see what True talent can offer, looking forward to more of your work.

WOW just WOW!! Β This is truly awesome! Β I was expecting this to be a single image and then it was like WOAH! Β Zooming in and out can give a real trippy feeling, but the pan around is cool. Β Or at least on a laptop with no mouse it's trippy. Β Anyways, this is really great work, very good job!

Lol! I love the pumpkins How did you make it? Did you use a 3D panoramaΒ generating tool?
π: 0 β©: 1
Chromattix In reply to MystalurDimensh [2014-11-03 22:29:03 +0000 UTC]
I used a few things actually. Two different 3D softwares to create the virtual scene in the first place and then render the frames I needed to compose a full 360 degree view. I used Photoshop to illustrate in some extra details over that, and fix up any render-flaws, and then finally - yes, I used a special program dedicated just to making interactive panorama's called Pano2VR
π: 0 β©: 1
MystalurDimensh In reply to Chromattix [2014-11-03 22:48:13 +0000 UTC]
The textures are seamless, I tried really hard, but I couldn't find any corners (I assume it's sorta skybox thingy). Ooh, I know Pano2VR It's really cool
Anyway... Great job, man! Thanks for explaining it to me. I can't even imagine how much work it is
