This was the S.O.B that has given me so much trouble over the past few weeks. But the idea was so good that I was determined to get it done, even if it meant waking up at 5:00am a few days in a row so I could make sure the render was still going before going back to sleep (it took a few days to render

I have to admit I got the idea, and a lot of help from so I owe a huge thanks to him since I was clueless on this stuff as little as a few weeks ago...I guess I can learn fast if I'm passionate about something

So here's the first of what might be a whole series - so I decided to do a very "generic" scene for starters - the classic North American Pine forest, possibly the first thing that comes to mind when many think of landscape art. If this turns out to be successful, I might even take you guys into space one day

Mostly made in Vue 7 with some Phostohop postwork, and the Flash output was done in PanoQTVR. Some day I'll make a tutorial.

Edit: Biiig thanks to Sniper115A3 and Gashu-Monsata for the Daily Deviation And to everyone for the support

Others in the "Vue it" series:
Vue it - Christmas Village
Vue it - Approaching Pandora
Vue It - Holiday House
Vue It - Haunted Harvest

All artwork and animations in my gallery are my copyrighted property and are not to be used without my permission, this incluse any screenshots of parts of the scene.

That is mind-bogglingly amazing. :3 As I was looking at it, I was thinking, "This had BETTER have a DD already, or there is no justice." Congrats on an astounding and beautiful work!

Lol, It can be cool when you expect something is good enough to have a DD and then realize it does...It's like you knew it was worthy before knowing it was done already Glad you liked it!

This reminds me so much of the vistas and forest hiking spots we have around my area. They are stunning to spend time in, full of gorgeous plants and the occasional brave animal. What you made here looks so realistic, I can almost hear the cry of the birds and the hum of the bugs. I swear if I reached out, I could feel the ferns and the moss covering the rocks. I love what you do with these, the time and effort you put into them must be astounding. Thank you for sharing your bits of paradise with us.

That sounds nice, I for one have never actually been in a forest like this, the ones in Australia are very different (not as nice looking in my opinion, our native plants are very drab in colour, and friendly deers and bugs are replaced with poisonous snakes and spiders, so I've never really hiked ) But I've seen enough pictures. I would have made the forest denser if my computer could have handled the extra trees

Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks! These can be done with special cameras that take a full 360 photo in a very quick instant. 'd love to have one of those so I can do this with real places as well as artwork. But even so - I think the artwork versions would be more interesting (especially since I can't travel to anywhere worth seeing )

Is this a joke? Man, i`m starting to feel stupid by looking at your `Vue it` series, They are marvelous.
I wish i could do something like that with my own works

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Chromattix In reply to lordeeas [2012-01-16 02:03:27 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for the compliment

Your digital paintings are excellent, I couldn't get a better result without the aid of 3D work I put into most of them But these interactive ones need heavy use of 3D for them to work though, I think painting one would be near impossible (mainly because the original image needs perfectly-calculated distortion at its borders which can be rendered in 3D but hard to paint correctly)

I do have more fun seeing the results of these, but I think flat-out decent digital paintings is a much more profitable skill still Only one person has commissioned me for one of these. The tremendous amount of work involved in these makes me not able to provide them cheap, so no-one buys

lordeeas In reply to Chromattix [2012-01-16 10:53:56 +0000 UTC]

If you ask me i say this is the art, A perfect art which one can make through a 3D simulation. I have seen so many 3D artists in my life but i think it`s something different. You created your own world and wanted everyone see it with their own eyes, even a stupid person like me without a slight amount of knowledge about 3D stuffs falls in love with it, This is great man. Nothing is Impossible, I`m going to learn this process. Of course i wish i could learn it from a skilled person like you but i have some friend who does this kind of stuff. Do not Underestimate your skills man, This is a real Art

I used Cinema 4D and Vue for the 3D stuff and scene building. Photoshop for editing and PanoQTVR to export it into this interactive format.
