I want to see more like this! I love this style to Bane waaay more than the new rendition he's been given. I think my favorite is Justice League doom. Great job man!

How do you get the blacks to come out pitch black in photoshop?

this is an ink drawing, so it's drawn on paper and then scanned!

I know that, but I mean you did no manipulation on Photoshop? Like when I scan my inked drawing I have up contrast and crap like that to make the blacks darker.

yeah... some people I know like to scan the lineart at a high resolution, BUT using the "lineart' option (it also goes by other names, depending on scanner software)that way, you only get black and white, no greys at all... in my case, I like to scan the stuff on greyscale, and then clean it up using "levels", THEN "thresholding" it if I want crisp lineart, if not, I just leave it as is!

Thanks, cause whenever I scan things using the "Back and White" option, the lines come out looking all pixelated like I drew it on MS paint and I hate that.

if you want the work to print really crisp and sharp, I highly recommend you either scan it as line art or threshold it(the pixelation looks crappy on-screen, BUT prints nice and sharp)... if your scan is high rez enough (industry standard for comics is between 400 dpi to 600 dpi), then you don't have to worry about seeing pixelation on the printed version!

Love the big, hulkish character pieces. This has a Capcom-esque vibe to it, as a lot of your stuff does.

Thank you very much! ...I think it was impossible to grow up in the 90's and not to be affected and inspired with Bengus and Akiman's work on Street Fighter and Darkstalkers stuff!

Am greatly disappointed your work isn't gonna be featured in the Arkham City character bios. Also awesome Bane drawing. Although his right foot seems to be awkwardly placed.

Screw the colored version I love just looking at your linework. To be honest i'm a huge Jim Lee fan but you've replaced him as my fav artist. You art is just so solid man.

I love the way all your tech looks almost blocky. It gives it a good sturdy look and really ties in nicely.

thank you very much! I can do 'slick' tech too, but it always looks 'fragile' to me, specially when it comes to Gotham-based stuff!

Indeed! It just makes it look sturdy, practical and if nothing else, downright awesome.
