the day before yesterday Map maker was working fine and i made the terrain and i went to bed then yesterday when i tryed to click map maker fh stops working but i still have the unfinished map

ok if it does that just try starting the program again and if that doesn't work then try uninstalling fh and re-install it, hopefully you want need to do that.
Other then that when you are make your own terrains you have to follow some rules regarding the size of the image you are useing.
Your map image can only be changed in size if you follow this correctly.
(Y x 2) -1 where Y is your initial map size.
ex:
(513 x 2) - 1 = 1025
(1025 x 2) -1 = 2049
works in reverse as well
(Q + 1) / 2 where Q is your initial map size.
ex:
(1025 +1) /2 = 513
(513 +1) /2 = 257
One other thing, your map image has to be set to 8 bit, you can do this by going into photoshop, in your image tab at the top of your screen, and changing it into Grayscale.

go into your start menu then go to (All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Information). It should be labeled as your [OS Name:]
