now it is the cleaned up version i edit a tiny bit here and there and cleaned up my lineart. nothing major, but it still took a whole bunch of time -.-;;used: corel painter essentials 2

Ok this is my new character Takaharu!
Well whoever wants to color it or anything, I would be flattered if you do so, but please tell me so I can see your work!
This isn't my best work but its something i didn't just sketch. I can see like so many things wrong >.< He just came randomly and i kno he looks like this character or that character or when you get to see is personality he acts like this character or - yeah you get it. Well face it there are so many similar characters in the world but this is my character! >0< im not going to go all ballistic trying to make a crazy character that will completly stand out like a guy with tenticales and a beak or something -.-;;
Time: 1 hour? (lineart takes time for me)

yup! his personality is very cute also, hes ditzy and always has something in his mouth (like a lollipop or pocky, yeah he likes sweets) and he sometimes can be a little immature =w= but thats wats cute!

rawr, i hate lineart the most out of all the steps in making a picture (sketching, lineart, coloring)
haha about the shoes.. i saw something similar to that design in on display in korea (in this ultra supermarket thing) thats wierd how that in fear tho o_o but i find it hilarious!

yeah at first i could not color for my life (or now i think so when i look back then) it was kind of bland and not very appealing, but my art teacher showed me this awesome way to color and I've just been practicing on that techique basically and thats where i am now :3

ahh.. well looking at your colored pencil drawings you could learn how to do the pressure stroke (or wat i like to call it) there alot of different ones acutally just 3 main kinds (dark->light, light->dark, light->dark->light) and the 'dark' is achived by putting pressure of the pencil.. im not good at using all the strokes, but im best and the dark->light so i stick with that `3`

yeah, i do. it's just, i'm not good with light source and such and can't decide where to put the shadows. then, i end up doing something that messes up the whole thing then scribble the rest

oh, wat i do is sometimes draw a little swirly sun in the background! XD and me.. has no clue on lighting and shading, if it looks like i do.. yay! cause my guestimation looks okay! yosh! >w<
