Gasp! An actual submission! This is a first since a long time =_=;;Well this is actually a kinda old picture from back in October and I finally finished inking it in December.. but I was too lazy to upload it until now XDD The dress style was influenced by gothic lolita style and the composition of the picture I got the idea from an illustration in Death note (can be found in the back of vol 1) Yeah as you can tell it took a long time inking everything @_@ but especially long when I had to erase all the little gray pixels that were everwhere in photoshop x_x Enjoy!

that is sooo cool! no matter that the ideas came from different places, you drew it very well!!
you did really well with the wrinkles, lace, hair, and face, but i think that something you might want to look into is her left shoulder. i dont' know about you, but i think it looks like it's been cut of from the angle she is standing at. unless she's really pulling back that left shoulder, it should be poking out past her hair about a half circle's worth. (i looked at it again, and really thought, and maybe the shoulder of her body might make it behind the hair, but she has puff sleeves, right? that should be in view a little) plus, her position comes off pretty lax, so the chances of her shoulder being pinned back is unnatural to the viewer.
her breast appear is a little low, too.
otherwise, it's vera, vera cool! the dissappearance of ince as the body moves down and the outline of her shoes and the background is awesome X3 you did a great job!
as a last comment, let me add that i'm not even that fond neither gothic nor lolita styled stuff, but i hafta fav this! you did a wonderful job! you should be doing this right now:

yeah erm it might seem as though the sleeves should be showing because I was playing around with the picture trying to her breasts higher but i ended up making the torso a bit too thin and here comes the neverending cycle of doom.. yeah a person already mentioned the breasts too.. >_>;; agg so much editing to do @_@ which i'll get to now since i have the time and the patience XDD but i do think a little of the sleeve might show cause it is poofy ^-^

The only thing that irks me? How un-circular the circle is at the far right. >o> *perfectionist like that*

yeah lol but after like an hour's worth of erasing and making sure everything is pure black and no stray pixels or anything.. I was pretty lazy abou the crosses =3= little touch ups here and there XDD maybe ill go bak and edit it to it'll be perfect circle to please to perfectionist crystal XDD

oh yeah.. oh well i made that white part on a whim when i was shading it in.. 'maybe i should leave the edge white of it white.. okay!' >: D yeah sarah has alot of mistakes T-T meanie crystal making me feel bads~
bahhh lace is harrdd man but i had practice from chobits >_>;;
I used erm my 05 micron to shade the major black parts in (the largest i own D: ) and this look maybe a total of 2-3 hours?? (not counting scanning/computer editing)

i learned from looking at amazing arts *q* actually i first learned the swirly hair curl from cardcaptors (LOL clamp!) yeah but really i don't like inking DD: *takes too long* your inking skills are like AWESOME though >_< your lines are so smooth and thin~~~ <33

Tell you truth, I don't like inking either >> It's tedious and I can't shade the way I normally do. I prefer pencil, but of course, that smudges. So inking's just something I force myself to do to preserve lineart >____>

yup yup the hair was from the 'flower card' but then i saw that type of hair around devart and learned how to shade it from one of joodlez's tuts =3=

Teach me, oh master of perspective background...ness...stuff... ;^; I love how you used cross hatching to make her fade into the scenery. And the sizes of the crosses give so much depth! >83 Love love love.

D: the crosses give depth? lol i dunno i just added random crosses here and there during class =w=;; yup yup i was so paranoid about the crosshatching because i had to use a ruler to keep it straight and had to switch pens during the middle of it cause the one i started with was too thick.. @_@
