Description
In the same way I started, I try to remain true to the light directions I chose, arranging carefully key light, fill light and rim light, balancing color temperatures (I cheated a little, pushing the cooler fill light on the front of the character to counter effect the overall warm tones, and to enhance her skin tones, the drapes and the veil.Related content

Masterly. Congratulations on the lighting. There must have been a lot of planning and headaches, or at least I imagine there would be if I tried that haha.
What size is the original?

Reminds me of a modern John Waterhouse painting. Hopefully you are carrying an old masters style to the modern age such as Bernstein did with Mahler who influenced Bernstein's music.

Thanks. I don't know if my skills are matching the task, but it is definitely the idea: trying to revive a traditional style drawn from the old school into modern themes and a more contemporary vision.

FUCKING GORGEOUSΒ
The HAZE of sunlight looks great here. You talk so much about "lighting." What do you mean? "Lighting," as in with paints or with actual lights?Β

When I talk about "lighting", I talk about trying to replicate in the painting (with real oil paint) the light you see in real life.
