I usually don't post stuff that I know is only halfway done, but I made an exception here because I think we all need some "Sherlock" therapy ASAP after the last episode. I will try not to spoil anyone, but truly, if people didn't see this episode (and its ending) coming, then really, people, pick up a book once in a while. The big cliffhangers/reveals were pretty true to the Holmes story "The Final Problem," but that didn't make it any easier to watch, with sad wittle Watson and his wittle puppy dog eyes......
And now we have to wait forever to finish this plotline.....We're taking bets on whether Watson will be married when Holmes returns. Any takers?
(BTW, yes, um, I am going to say this picture isn't a spoiler for the episode because, well, it didn't happen. And if it had happened like this, A.) I would have been one happy fangirl, and B.) Holmes' plans wouldn't have worked as well, I suspect.)
I expect to finish this in multimedia (if I ever get around to it, that is...). It's on fiberboard, so acrylics/copics/colored pencils, maybe? Or maybe a little more oil paint than I'm accustomed to? Haven't decided yet...

I think maybe Watson will have met his wife. Whether or not they're going to be married by the time Sherlock reappears, I don't know. I think it'd be interesting to see the wife react to Sherlock BEFORE the wedding day. Then we'd get to see the wedding.

Omg, now you're drawing Sherlock. I love you. And despite being a WiP, this is still amazing. Can't wait for the finished piece.
I kind of hope John is married in Empty House (or whatever they call it), because the thought of him having to go those three years alone is rather upsetting. (Then again, I guess he doesn't have the potential `EVERYBODY I LOVE DIES` angst that the canon kind of skipped over.)

I'm so glad they renewed it for a third season. And in the interview I was reading, Stephen Moffat said he didn't feel TOO bound by the original text. So maybe...no Mary? Maybe something more than secondary characters going "are you two together?" and Watson being like "NO!......*shiftyeyes*" Or am I asking too much? Will I be stuck forever with only the South Korean Sherlock trailers and fanfiction.net to comfort me? Ah well, I'll always have Torchwood reruns...
In the meanwhile, maybe Benedict Cumberbatch will renounce his former stance on playing The Doctor and we'll get to see him as an eccentric Time Lord after this next season of Doctor Who. Maybe.

Yes, you are asking too much. 
Pretty much everyone involved in this production has stated unanimously and for the record that their Holmes and Watson aren't gay. The Adler episode was intended as their big "fuck you" to yaoi fangirls. Of course, they shot themselves in the foot when even Adler starting calling the boys gay. 
And no matter what happens in this series, whether Watson gets married or not, all the eye-sex will always be between him and Holmes. Because that's the glue that holds this series together. Eye-sex.

Why is the world so god-damned opposed to queer couples on TV? I mean, okay, I understand with Sherlock because of the canon-thing (eye sex FTW!), but like, I can count on one hand the number of non-hetero couples currently on TV. And they don't even get to do couple-y things! It's like the gay people on TV are forbidden from having physical relations (even insofar as like...holding hands...). Like, WTF man?
I was so happy to have things like Willow/Tara and Jack/Ianto...and then in both instances...they...they...*SOB*

If by 'all day,' you mean 9 hrs, then yes. But that's about the same as a 26-ep. anime marathon. And we've done that.
But it's up to the n00bs, after all, since you and I have already seen the first 3 episodes. We should ask if anyone would be up for that, and if they would, it should probably be soon, before the semester actually starts for real.
...dude, an anime club snark gallery for Sherlock = WIN. A drinking game would be even better. XDDD
