Description
I say, men certainly do have strange beliefs about the nature of unicorns, don't they? The unicorns themselves must find them terribly interesting. Where did this unicorn learn to read? At the unicorn university of course! Where did she get her reading glasses? From the apothecary! What book is she currently reading? Probably 'Atlas Shrugged' or some other book with a lesson. Unicorns like books with lessons.

I love the children's story book vibe I get from this. The colors are also nice. :>

This is great I love ther line work, and the colors make me want spring to come soon. Its exspression is adorable screams 'Youre really speaking to me while I'm reading?'

This particular unicorn is a fan of Victor Hugo, but will read anything once.

Haha, this is so cute and funny. I don't know if there is a same expression in english, but in norwegian there is something called "Lesehest" literally translated "reading horse" as an expression for people who read a lot^^ Even though this is a unicorn i feel that that expression fits this image very well^^
Good job!

That's really cool! I don't know much about Norwegian, but I know there's a similar phrase in English for people who buy and own lots of clothing, a "clothes horse."

What a learned unicorn she is
I like your take on the unicorn here, looks otherworldly and definately stays away from the stereotypical unicorn.

I think everything that I wanted to say has already been said for me. Except that it's awesome. Can't say that enough about your art |D

Looks to me like a great-but-abstract celebration of bookish women - not sure if that's what you intended, but it's just one level on which it works. It's also cute and, as many of the comments demonstrate, funny. And who doesn't love unicorns that don't look like horses?

Thanks so much!
Everyone loves books, it only makes sense that a unicorn should. Yes, I too do grow tired sometimes of unicorns that are just horned horses. Not that there's anything wrong with them, I just like them a little different.

Indeed it does; they're keepers of ancient wisdom as well as purity after all.
And you're welcome

Splendid!
Your linework on the unicorn and tree work particularly well. They have a loose feel which adds so much texture and feeling to the piece. You've balanced the colour very effectivley as well.
Wonderful work,
Grinning-Goblin.

This one is really good. I love it. I think this one could sell really good. It looks more like a llama. But hey this is your interpretation of unicorns. I love it.

Why do I have a feeling that's a book written by a rabbit?
But seriously, very gorgeous piece! And it even has bit of a Rankin-Bass look to it, heh.

Haha, thanks so much! As a matter of fact, this particular book was written by a brown lop-ear named Krikket. It's a fairy tale about a creature called a 'man.'

I would believe that it would be terribly difficult to turn the pages with hooves.
I do enjoy the posing the of the unicorn and the look on the face that is "What do you want, I'm reading"

YES. This just made my night. I'm in love with the whole thing, but the way that you drew/colored the tree is probably my favorite thing. It's just so interesting!

She just rips the pagers out with her teeth and eats them as she goes along. Good fiber you know. Of course, this means it's imperative to find books printed with non-toxic inks.
