[Main Quest]

Opting to stay calm and silent, you noiselessly head for the bushes, head held low as you hide. The bushes were quite dense, managing to cover you well, the dogs' barks and howls fading into the distance. Now that the initial threat was over, it was dire time you look for shelter. You cross the river, belly deep in water. After exiting the river and shaking off you leave the area, lifting your head up you;

B] Decide to spend the night in a nearby cave

Today's events hung over Myron like chains on his back and he just couldn't shake the pain. Wet and cold, the young stallion kept pushing on. His wounds still ached with every step, but the bleeding had thankfully stopped some time ago. Crossing the river was a smart move, both to prevent infection and to shake off the dogs. Myron lifted his head, sniffing the air for any signs there were other animals or predators nearby. None. Thank god, Myron sighed.

Stepping onto the a small path that trailed next to the river, the stallion shook the rest of the water off and sped up. Not long after, the path lead in between the treeline and into the forest. He faced the choice of moving inwards, but halted to think. He looked around, his sight getting worse as the sky darkened. Soon, his eyes would get used to the night, but still. He clicked his tongue and was about to head to the tall bushes towards the treeline when he saw it. The tiniest cave he'd ever laid eyes on! He was certain he could fit if he only crawled a little further in. It seemed a great spot to hide from sight; who would expect a horse, of all things, to hide in there!

Surely enough, as Myron approached the entrance, the cave had room for him. There was taller roof in the back than he expected too - what a lucky find! The youngster nodded satisfied to himself, and grazed for a few minutes right outside the cave to settle in for the night.

And just when he let his sore muscles rest, it hit him. Not only could did he find a small cave and was happy about it - He realized the reason he was so content with his find, was that it fit only him. No room for others. The quiet of the night crept slowly in, and Myron looked around in the cave once more.
Then, he started nibbling at his back, attempting to sate an itch he'd been ignoring. He definitely would've liked a herdmember right about now. He'd even return the favour! Although that would be voluntary, of course. It dawned on him now, he was truly alone in this moment. And he hated the quiet that followed.
