  Kome was starting to feel a little nervous. She’d had the eyes of nearly all of Kaesu on her before, but never so directly, and the attention was making her ever so slightly antsy, and maybe a little thrilled.
  Although it would be inaccurate to say all of that focus was on her. She looked at her companion, who was drawing as many, if not more eyes.
  “What, is there something on my face,” Cipher asked.
  She laughed, “yes, there’s a lot more hair than usual.”
  After Kome had finally managed to find herself the chance to take a day off, Cipher had revealed his plan; they were going to use her illusion powers to disguise them both and take a day to just live out in the city. All the stares and glances they were getting was likely because everyone assumed they were a couple, being a pair of foxes.
  She’d kept the alterations to herself rather minimal, switching from a pure platinum like coat to an arctic white, topped with white-blonde hair, and downsizing to just one tail.
  But for Cipher, she decided to be rather bold. She covered him in a fiery red, with tips of light gray, and short brown hair so dark it was almost black.
  However, for as much as she had enjoyed giving him such a striking appearance, she lamented a little that it wasn’t quite…him. Like he didn’t look as though she’d taken someone human and turned them into their Beastkin equivalent. “At least the eyes are unchanged,” she commented happily.
