Yup, they don't bother to check the expanding ball of flash and fire behind them. They must be experts, too at estimating the sizes of the explosions because they land exactly where the explosion stops expanding.

You can't be sure dude. Besides, there's two burning buildings at their sides which could collapse, hence expanding the explosion, thus killing everyone like this And they lived happily ever after the end
