Yes, yes, yes, it's been a while since I posted anything. I've been studying like crazy, so, the comic pages have to wait. The zombies are all humans. Any surviving Humans on Mobius are hiding in bunkers.

if they get food and guns (the humans) will they help sonic and friends fight them off? just because the more people collaborating, the higher is the survive chance

Humanity cannot step outside into the open world. Breathing in the air is enough to turn them into zombies (although, not instantaneously, but they will still eventually turn into zombies), and so they have to hide. Sonic and his friends are on their own for this one.

They need hazmat suits. The cells of the virus are small enough to go through most filtration systems and masks.

I highly doubt anyone would have thirty million hazmat suits for all of the remaining humans.

Even if you did, humanity will not set foot outside. The zombies may not be picky with their food, but they prefer human flesh above all else, going as far as to completely ignore Mobians to charge after Humans instead.
A very vast majority of Humans are either dead, dying or undead. They won't risk anything, even if it means leaving the Mobians to die on the surface.

I wouldn't say "reterraform". More like, "wait the virus cells to all die as a result of a lack of new bodies to infect and feed on". Only then can Humanity finally come out of hiding. But who knows whether it's possible to wait out a zombie apocalypse?

Zombies are too easy devices for storytelling. Β They're the characters whose redundancy has made them the walking essence of "Once upon a time."

Zombies are clichΓ©, I can agree with that. And I plan to make sure that in the comic, they're not the usual, dumb blarg monsters that so many movies and TV shows always portray them to be.
Let's just say that in the comic, they may look like zombies, but they don't act like them.

But they're still playing the same role as zombies would.

Then you can say the same for all those movies featuring aliens. It's pretty much the same, just that instead of mindless flesh eaters that cause the apocalypse, it's an interstellar race that causes the apocalypse.
Zombies are overplayed, yes. But that doesn't stop people from liking them. I'm not saying that everyone likes them, but a lot of people certainly do, and it shows. I do think that using zombies as a storytelling device is overused, but hey, if AMC can do it and still make it enjoyable, so can a lot of other people. But if you don't like zombies because they're clichΓ©, then more power to you.Β
