Description
-EDIT-: I know that both the Topaz and Zircon Gem designs have updated. I'm going to need to draw my gemsona, BT and PT with those designs, but I don't intend on altering them too much based on the show.

This is the largest picture I have ever drawn. When I took the initial photo, I had to take two separate ones then bring the photos together. Some of my Gems also have slightly different outfits due to reformation and stuff.

Now that we have the ten of them altogether here (with their heights and all), I'll give a full description of each of them similarly to my piece of where I drew my brothers OCs.

Purple Topaz (Leader)
Weapon- Staff
Gem Location- Forehead
Purple Topaz is the oddball leader of the Starlight Gems. She once served under Blue Diamond with Zircon as her loyal servant and bodyguard, but she eventually split off and disconnected from the Great Diamond Authority altogether to pursue her own ideals. Despite being wise, elegant and graceful in appearance and movement, she has a love for shiny things (which include her own kind due to their gems). It is a reason why she split off without explanation. It is rare for Purple Topaz to leave the isle where her base is located (meaning its rare for her to hunt down corrupted gems), but she usually only goes on missions with Zircon.

She doesn't show much emotion, but it doesn't mean she shows none. She can understand emotion just fine, really, though she tends to show mischief and playfulness as her primary emotions. It's rare for her to get frustrated or angry, though the only cases where such is the case is whenever Zircon poofs and recovers to her gem, and in that case, it is the only time she shows sadness.

In battle, Purple Topaz is a wise tactician and is able to analyze situations at many angles. She send the Starlight Gems out on their missions noting their varying qualities and how it can support the other gems in a mission. She tends to disregard relationships as a result. Her only known fusion is Iolite, which is the fusion between herself and Zircon.

Notable Relationships:

Zircon- As previously stated multiple times in this description, Purple Topaz is the closest with Zircon. They've had a relationship for a long time now, which has developed into a strong friendship and strong bond rather than master and servant. It's implied that Purple Topaz may have a crush on Zircon, or more of a sisterly bond, but it's incredibly hard to tell.

The Forces of Nature- Purple Topaz appears to have a positive relationship with most of the Forces of Nature, despite their rivalry. The only one that she seems to strongly dislike is of course Aquamarine due to how he hits on Zircon, but fortunately, she doesn't try to hunt him down. Seriously, if she didn't hold herself back, Aquamarine would probably be bubbled and a part of her Gem Collection by now.

Blue Topaz- Purple Topaz doesn't have anything against Blue Topaz, but she strongly dislikes her due to an implied jealousy as result of her being another topaz. That is the only reason she dislikes her.

-Purple Topaz is one of the three tallest members of the Starlight Gems other than Blue Topaz and (Light Green) Pearl.
-She has a large bubbled gem 'collection' due to her obsession with shiny things.
-She tends to purposely regenerate just so she can change her outfit if she ends up hating it.

Zircon (Second-in-Command) (Gemsona)
Weapon- Bow and Arrows
Gem Location- Chest
Zircon is the second-in-command of the Starlight Gems and is the one who is in charge of mostly everything, due to Purple Topaz tending to spend most of her day staring at her Gem Collection. She once served under Blue Diamond, and was Purple Topaz's bodyguard and servant. She was basically like her pearl, but wasn't. She did have a pearl serve under her due to her status, but it was more of she-took-the-pearl-in rather than she was given a pearl (with this pearl in specific being Light Green Pearl, whom we will get to later). She tends to go on the most solo-missions.

Zircon can be emotionless but not. She tends to worry and freak out, but it can be hard to tell due to her bottling up her emotions and keeping a neutral expression on her face which looks angry or sad most of the time. In battle, she's very good at keeping herself from not getting poofed due to her skill with strategy and her weapon, but when she does, everyone freaks out. Nobody likes sparring with Zircon as she's powerful and usually can take everyone out really quickly.

Notable Relationships:

Purple Topaz- Zircon has a close relationship with her previous mistress. She still acts like her servant from time to time, but they're really good friends and are also really close. She also worries about Purple Topaz, but gets really annoyed with her Gem Obsession. If a non-corrupted gem is bubbled, Zircon is the one who usually bails them out.

The Starlight Gems- Zircon is basically everyone's big sister in the group. She manages everyone and takes care of them, and is closer with some of them than others. She has a positive relationship with everyone, but her relationships with Bloodstone and Andesine are strained.

The Forces of Nature- Zircon can get along with 2 out of the 3 Forces of Nature, but due to Aquamarine trying to hit on her, most of their conversations end with Zircon trying to shatter him. Or just poof him.

(Light Green) Pearl- Pearl is still loyal to Zircon and acts like her servant despite Zircon is trying to work their relationship out into a friendship. Regardless, Zircon treats her as an equal and cheers her up when Pearl is down.

-Zircon has an average height in the group, but is a bit taller than Chrysoprase and Andesine.
-Zircon loves food. She tends to eat a lot when she has the chance to.
-Zircon has a slight defect with her gem's color. Strong emotions can trigger a color change, and she freaks out when she regenerates since she fears she might be a changed color.
-Zircon worries a lot more than she does (similarly to myself)

Andesine
Weapon- Fighting Fans
Gem Location- Right Calve
Extroverted, loud and flirty when she wants to be, Andesine is one of the regular fighters of the Starlight Gems who tries to brighten mostly everyone's day and also loves to practice fusion and dancing. She is usually moving and doesn't stand still often, but she has a habit of trying to sway others with her charms. She also tends to be a bit of a control freak at times, which is why some of her relationships with the more introverted gems are strained.

Emotion is basically Andesine's middle name. She tends to be overdramatic and exaggerates things, as well as showing a lot of emotion and passion. She shows it well through emotion and movement, though her strongest emotion is jealousy. When Tourmaline first joined the group, Andesine hated her due to Tourmaline and Spinel taking away her attention (which she likes to be the center of). In battle, Andesine is swift and is good at distracting others. As a result, her attacks can be downright nasty and quick if you're not paying attention.

Notable Relationships:

Chrysoprase- These two are literally polar opposites, and it is very difficult for them to get along. Andesine tends to quarrel with the introverted Chrysoprase on many things, even if she knows why Chrysoprase hates something. They can work together just fine on missions, but begrudgingly. Andesine hates Chrysoprase more than the latter hates her.

Tourmaline- Despite rocky beginnings, Tourmaline and Andesine are basically best friends. Andesine was jealous of Tourmaline at first until she warmed up to her, and they do a lot of things together as a result, like practice dancing and have a gem's-day-outs frequently.

Corundum- Nobody can tell if Andesine is attracted to Corundum, but she flirts with him to death. Corundum doesn't understand it, but he rolls with it. Andesine mainly flirts with him to get information out of him, but she also flirts with him either because she likes him and she wants to seem charming, or she flirts just to flirt.

-Andesine is basically average height, but she also wears high heels, so she could be a bit shorter.
-She loves getting pampered and getting attention
-She tries out many dance styles, but the primary one she uses in fusions is Salsa dancing.
-She is somewhat of a fashionista at times when it comes to events, since she tries to look the flashiest out of all the Starlight Gems.

Chrysoprase
Weapon- Laser Gun
Gem Location- Right Eye
Chrysoprase is usually the shut-in and incredibly reserved gem out of the group who runs experiments most of the time and is usually in darkness or incredibly dim lighting. She usually asks questions and speaks in a manner of logic, but also speaks very little. She doesn't go out on missions very often due to a problem of light sensitivity she has as a result of her gem.

Chrysoprase understands emotion but doesn't show very many. However, she does show genuine concern at times and tends to be strict when she has to be if she's worried. Other than that, her emotions are shrouded in mystery. In battle, she has limited control over electricity, but mainly fights with her gun. She can see very well in the darkness, and is an excellent sniper due to how quiet she is.

Andesine- Chrysoprase tries really hard to get along with Andesine, but due to Andesine's stubbornness, it is hard for them to find anything in common and Andesine despises her when she tries. Chrysoprase secretly wants to be a part of Andesine's gem's-day-outs, but she usually misses her before anything can happen.

(Light Green) Pearl- Despite Pearl is the most recent member of the group, she and Chrysoprase have a lot in common and are able to get along really well. They both share a thirst for knowledge and like books, and Chrysoprase is more than willing to listen to Pearl's rants. And, she lets herself be a shoulder to cry on if Pearl worries she's being useless.

-Chrysoprase's gemstone is sensitive to light and can be damaged if exposed to too much light or harsh rays, which is why her hair covers her gemstone and why she constantly wears her sunglasses. Due to the sensitivity, she has a fear of light as a result.
-She secretly enjoys video games, especially Chess. Pearl introduced her to games when she was teaching her how a human computer functioned.
-She can barely dance, and is only really able to dance one style.
-She is also average height when compared to the other Starlight Gems

Neptunite
Weapon- Lances (x8)
Gem Location- Back
Out of she and Bloodstone, Neptunite is one of the youngest gems in the group. She is somewhat shy and petite, and is defensive of her back where her gem is located due to the size of it. Despite that she is reserved, and doesn't seem to show much potential in terms of fighting at first glance, Neptunite can be particularly nasty to deal with.

She is very calm and is good at acting as a mediator towards the other gems. She is also good at controlling her emotions as a result, and tries to calm everyone down. Despite she tries to be more of a pacifist, Neptunite is better at fighting than she looks and is very proficient with her lances. She has limited psychic power, but efficiently uses it when defending the other gems with her lances.

Notable Relationships:

Bloodstone- Bloodstone and Neptunite were both created on Earth, and are different from traditional Homeworld Gems due to their slight defects. They have a sisterly relationship, and as a result, Bloodstone is a bit overprotective of Neptunite at times, whether she likes it or not.

-Neptunite is one of the littlest of the Starlight Gems. Spinel is smaller than she is, but she is defensive about her height.
-She has telekinetic power that is most obvious when she is using her lances.

Bloodstone
Weapons- Double Daggers
Gem Location- Back of Left Hand
Bloodstone is the second of the youngest gems in the group. Due to the way she is due to some defects, she is wild and chaotic. Interestingly, despite seeming the most unstable of the Starlight Gems (and though they worry she might get corrupted), she is the most stable out of the group and is strong willed. She is quite extroverted, curious, and tends to speak in third-person.

Bloodstone's emotions are erratic, and she reflects it through her actions. She is bad at controlling her emotion, unlike Neptunite, but she is surprisingly good at managing her anger. In battle, she is especially nasty to fight with, and can have confusing attack patterns. She is proficient with her daggers and her boots.

Notable Relationships:

Neptunite- She and Neptunite are especially close, and Bloodstone acts like a protective sister. She acts more like the younger sister than the older. Neptunite and she also have a good chemistry, and Neptunite has to keep an eye on Bloodstone so she doesn't do something she could regret.

Zircon- Despite Zircon doesn't particularly like Bloodstone, the latter looks up to her and almost idolizes her as a result. Zircon doesn't see it, mainly since Bloodstone really creeps her out.

-Bloodstone is one of the tallest gems, but she's also considered taller than average
-Bloodstone hates feeling restrained, and tends to tear up her clothing when she regenerates
-She is always wearing her Dennis Boots when she regenerates. She uses them as a secondary weapon.
-Her red and green 'ponytails' act like antennae, and they move when Bloodstone is alert.
-She is surprisingly fast and swift

Tourmaline
Weapon- Rapier
Gem Location- Forehead
Tourmaline was a Gem Noble who served under Yellow Diamond before she split and joined the Starlight Gems. She and Spinel are known as the Sword Sisters due to their strategy and sync, and have a strong enough relationship to fuse, but their fusion is currently unknown. She is somewhat petty and snobbish at times, but she has learned to open up and treat others as equals.

She tends to be somewhat dramatic, but is able to show generosity and kindness. She shows the most emotion towards Andesine and Spinel, whom she considers her servant. She is more tactical and cunning when it comes to using her weapon, but she is slower than most of the Starlight Gems.

Notable Relationships:

Spinel- Unlike Purple Topaz and Zircon's relationship, as well as Zircon and Light Green Pearl's relationship, Tourmaline considers her relationship with her as strictly a master and servant one. Spinel is usually by her side as a result, and obeys her every order.

Andesine- Tourmaline and Andesine have a positive relationship as friends. She was oblivious to Andesine's initial jealousy of her.

-She is average height in the group
-She is somewhat vain and conceited at times, much to everyone's dismay except for Andesine's
-She can manipulate light to her will. But, she can't use it to fight.

Spinel
Weapon- Buster Sword
Gem Location- Back of Right Hand
Spinel is Tourmaline's servant and is the other one of the Sword Sisters. She is quiet and doesn't speak unless she's ordered to, but when she's not with her mistress, her sass really shines, and she is better at showing her true colors.

She is very reserved and doesn't show emotion unless she has the choice to or is ordered to. She is stronger than she looks, and she is more of a fight-first-talk-later kind of gem when it comes to fighting. Her Buster Sword is bigger than you'd think, yet she can wield it with ease.

Notable Relationships:

Tourmaline- The pair only really has a master and servant relationship, much to Spinel's growing reluctance.

Neptunite- The two of them are surprisingly good friends, and Spinel opens up best to Neptunite as a result.

-She is the tiniest out of the Starlight Gems, but despite her size, she is mighty
-She is quite acrobatic, but also quite strong. Beware of her Buster Sword as a result.

Blue Topaz
Weapon- Bec de Corbin
Gem Location- Forehead
Blue Topaz is one of the newer Starlight Gems, but is also somewhat of a mediator at times. She is rather calm yet mysterious, but is also gentle and motherly as times. However, she is somewhat introverted and spends most of her time along the shoreline. Zircon was the one who first met her and recruited her into the Starlight Gems.

Blue Topaz is cool headed but her mysterious nature hides her emotions. Due to the way she is, it is unknown how skilled she is in battle, but it is known that like Aquamarine, she can manipulate water. It is not as powerful as Lapis Lazuli's ability and she can barely use it to attack, but she is working on it.

Notable Relationships:

Zircon- Zircon and Blue Topaz are friends, and have a positive relationship leaving a certain Topaz super jealous . They are close enough that they are able to fuse into Moonstone (whom I haven't drawn yet, but I'll be drawing more of their fusions in the future).

Aquamarine- Though little is known about their relationship, Blue Topaz and Aquamarine seem to know each other from somewhere. Aquamarine tends to bother and upset her for some reason, but she hasn't explained why. However, they seem to have a negative relationship as a result.

-She is one of the tallest gems. She is almost as tall as Purple Topaz, but a bit shorter.
-She is able to walk on water and mainly use her hydroinesis for defense rather than offense.

(Light Green) Pearl
Weapon- Unknown
Gem Location- Chest
Pearl is the final and most current member of the Starlight Gems. She used to live on Homeworld, and had a different master. When she was abandoned (her master was most likely shattered or corrupted) and left stranded Zircon took her in as her Pearl. She ended up stranded on Earth, and is most accustomed to Earth life. While she was there, she ended up becoming a mysterious world renowned author and is also good with human tech (and mostly spends her time reading and writing book reviews); as well as also becoming fond of hot dogs. However, Pearl is gravely afraid of deep bodies of water (which is why she is never sent on missions revolving around it. She would explode if she did).

Pearl tends to be a bit overemotional. She is incredibly loyal, and while on Earth, she was constantly looking for Zircon. She broke down into tears when she found Zircon (much to Zircon's surprise and confusion). She worries if she's not useful and tends to freak out and break down if she isn't. Chrysoprase lets herself be a shoulder to cry on when she worries. Her fighting capabilities are unknown, and it is unknown if she has any weapons.

Notable Relationships:

Zircon- (Light Green) Pearl is Zircon's loyal servant and is willing to do anything for her. Zircon is trying to help Pearl open up and convince her that's she's a friend and not a servant, and much more than that, except it's been proving difficult. The two of them are close, but it is unknown if they are able to fuse.

Chrysoprase- (Light Green) Pearl and Chrysoprase as pretty good friends as well as book buddies. Pearl occassionally helps out with Chrysoprase's experiments and Chrysoprase helps Pearl calm down if she's having an emotional overload.

-She is one of the tallest members of the group
-She is the only one whose weapon is unknown
-She has likely poofed the most as a result to her many outfit changes and a lack of being able to protect herself, but it is also unknown how many times this has happened (it is at least three).
-She and Spinel can easily relate to one another

Wow, this was a gigantic description. Sorry about that. I wanted to be able to describe all of them at one point when I drew them together, so this is like a height comparison and full group photo.

One last thing...

(Light Green) Pearl initially came from here and wasn't initially going to be a Starlight Gem until I grew fond of her and let her in the group.

-Chrysoprase's gemstone is sensitive to light and can be damaged if exposed to too much light or harsh rays, which is why her hair covers her gemstone and why she constantly wears her sunglasses. Due to the sensitivity, she has a fear of light as a result.
-She secretly enjoys video games, especially Chess. Pearl introduced her to games when she was teaching her how a human computer functioned.
-She can barely dance, and is only really able to dance one style.
-She is also average height when compared to the other Starlight Gems

Neptunite
Weapon- Lances (x8)
Gem Location- Back
Out of she and Bloodstone, Neptunite is one of the youngest gems in the group. She is somewhat shy and petite, and is defensive of her back where her gem is located due to the size of it. Despite that she is reserved, and doesn't seem to show much potential in terms of fighting at first glance, Neptunite can be particularly nasty to deal with.

She is very calm and is good at acting as a mediator towards the other gems. She is also good at controlling her emotions as a result, and tries to calm everyone down. Despite she tries to be more of a pacifist, Neptunite is better at fighting than she looks and is very proficient with her lances. She has limited psychic power, but efficiently uses it when defending the other gems with her lances.

Notable Relationships:

Bloodstone- Bloodstone and Neptunite were both created on Earth, and are different from traditional Homeworld Gems due to their slight defects. They have a sisterly relationship, and as a result, Bloodstone is a bit overprotective of Neptunite at times, whether she likes it or not.

-Neptunite is one of the littlest of the Starlight Gems. Spinel is smaller than she is, but she is defensive about her height.
-She has telekinetic power that is most obvious when she is using her lances.

Bloodstone
Weapons- Double Daggers
Gem Location- Back of Left Hand
Bloodstone is the second of the youngest gems in the group. Due to the way she is due to some defects, she is wild and chaotic. Interestingly, despite seeming the most unstable of the Starlight Gems (and though they worry she might get corrupted), she is the most stable out of the group and is strong willed. She is quite extroverted, curious, and tends to speak in third-person.

Bloodstone's emotions are erratic, and she reflects it through her actions. She is bad at controlling her emotion, unlike Neptunite, but she is surprisingly good at managing her anger. In battle, she is especially nasty to fight with, and can have confusing attack patterns. She is proficient with her daggers and her boots.

Notable Relationships:

Neptunite- She and Neptunite are especially close, and Bloodstone acts like a protective sister. She acts more like the younger sister than the older. Neptunite and she also have a good chemistry, and Neptunite has to keep an eye on Bloodstone so she doesn't do something she could regret.

Zircon- Despite Zircon doesn't particularly like Bloodstone, the latter looks up to her and almost idolizes her as a result. Zircon doesn't see it, mainly since Bloodstone really creeps her out.

-Bloodstone is one of the tallest gems, but she's also considered taller than average
-Bloodstone hates feeling restrained, and tends to tear up her clothing when she regenerates
-She is always wearing her Dennis Boots when she regenerates. She uses them as a secondary weapon.
-Her red and green 'ponytails' act like antennae, and they move when Bloodstone is alert.
-She is surprisingly fast and swift

Tourmaline
Weapon- Rapier
Gem Location- Forehead
Tourmaline was a Gem Noble who served under Yellow Diamond before she split and joined the Starlight Gems. She and Spinel are known as the Sword Sisters due to their strategy and sync, and have a strong enough relationship to fuse, but their fusion is currently unknown. She is somewhat petty and snobbish at times, but she has learned to open up and treat others as equals.

She tends to be somewhat dramatic, but is able to show generosity and kindness. She shows the most emotion towards Andesine and Spinel, whom she considers her servant. She is more tactical and cunning when it comes to using her weapon, but she is slower than most of the Starlight Gems.

Notable Relationships:

Spinel- Unlike Purple Topaz and Zircon's relationship, as well as Zircon and Light Green Pearl's relationship, Tourmaline considers her relationship with her as strictly a master and servant one. Spinel is usually by her side as a result, and obeys her every order.

Andesine- Tourmaline and Andesine have a positive relationship as friends. She was oblivious to Andesine's initial jealousy of her.

-She is average height in the group
-She is somewhat vain and conceited at times, much to everyone's dismay except for Andesine's
-She can manipulate light to her will. But, she can't use it to fight.

Spinel
Weapon- Buster Sword
Gem Location- Back of Right Hand
Spinel is Tourmaline's servant and is the other one of the Sword Sisters. She is quiet and doesn't speak unless she's ordered to, but when she's not with her mistress, her sass really shines, and she is better at showing her true colors.

She is very reserved and doesn't show emotion unless she has the choice to or is ordered to. She is stronger than she looks, and she is more of a fight-first-talk-later kind of gem when it comes to fighting. Her Buster Sword is bigger than you'd think, yet she can wield it with ease.

Notable Relationships:

Tourmaline- The pair only really has a master and servant relationship, much to Spinel's growing reluctance.

Neptunite- The two of them are surprisingly good friends, and Spinel opens up best to Neptunite as a result.

-She is the tiniest out of the Starlight Gems, but despite her size, she is mighty
-She is quite acrobatic, but also quite strong. Beware of her Buster Sword as a result.

Blue Topaz
Weapon- Bec de Corbin
Gem Location- Forehead
Blue Topaz is one of the newer Starlight Gems, but is also somewhat of a mediator at times. She is rather calm yet mysterious, but is also gentle and motherly as times. However, she is somewhat introverted and spends most of her time along the shoreline. Zircon was the one who first met her and recruited her into the Starlight Gems.

Blue Topaz is cool headed but her mysterious nature hides her emotions. Due to the way she is, it is unknown how skilled she is in battle, but it is known that like Aquamarine, she can manipulate water. It is not as powerful as Lapis Lazuli's ability and she can barely use it to attack, but she is working on it.

Notable Relationships:

Zircon- Zircon and Blue Topaz are friends, and have a positive relationship leaving a certain Topaz super jealous . They are close enough that they are able to fuse into Moonstone (whom I haven't drawn yet, but I'll be drawing more of their fusions in the future).

Aquamarine- Though little is known about their relationship, Blue Topaz and Aquamarine seem to know each other from somewhere. Aquamarine tends to bother and upset her for some reason, but she hasn't explained why. However, they seem to have a negative relationship as a result.

-She is one of the tallest gems. She is almost as tall as Purple Topaz, but a bit shorter.
-She is able to walk on water and mainly use her hydroinesis for defense rather than offense.

(Light Green) Pearl
Weapon- Unknown
Gem Location- Chest
Pearl is the final and most current member of the Starlight Gems. She used to live on Homeworld, and had a different master. When she was abandoned (her master was most likely shattered or corrupted) and left stranded Zircon took her in as her Pearl. She ended up stranded on Earth, and is most accustomed to Earth life. While she was there, she ended up becoming a mysterious world renowned author and is also good with human tech (and mostly spends her time reading and writing book reviews); as well as also becoming fond of hot dogs. However, Pearl is gravely afraid of deep bodies of water (which is why she is never sent on missions revolving around it. She would explode if she did).

Pearl tends to be a bit overemotional. She is incredibly loyal, and while on Earth, she was constantly looking for Zircon. She broke down into tears when she found Zircon (much to Zircon's surprise and confusion). She worries if she's not useful and tends to freak out and break down if she isn't. Chrysoprase lets herself be a shoulder to cry on when she worries. Her fighting capabilities are unknown, and it is unknown if she has any weapons.

Notable Relationships:

Zircon- (Light Green) Pearl is Zircon's loyal servant and is willing to do anything for her. Zircon is trying to help Pearl open up and convince her that's she's a friend and not a servant, and much more than that, except it's been proving difficult. The two of them are close, but it is unknown if they are able to fuse.

Chrysoprase- (Light Green) Pearl and Chrysoprase as pretty good friends as well as book buddies. Pearl occassionally helps out with Chrysoprase's experiments and Chrysoprase helps Pearl calm down if she's having an emotional overload.

-She is one of the tallest members of the group
-She is the only one whose weapon is unknown
-She has likely poofed the most as a result to her many outfit changes and a lack of being able to protect herself, but it is also unknown how many times this has happened (it is at least three).
-She and Spinel can easily relate to one another

Wow, this was a gigantic description. Sorry about that. I wanted to be able to describe all of them at one point when I drew them together, so this is like a height comparison and full group photo.

One last thing...

(Light Green) Pearl initially came from here and wasn't initially going to be a Starlight Gem until I grew fond of her and let her in the group.
